Eagles win and Cowboys lose this weekend season over

Meh.....I've pretty much had it.

This team will not compete for a Super Bowl this year, which is what it's all about anyway.

The sooner this season is over the better. As mentioned, however this season ends will almost certainly be another embarrassment. Whether it's at the hands of the Commanders, another embarrassment finale for the division, or in the playoffs.

Spare us fans and get this hot garbage, freak show off the field. It would be just as well if the Cowboys lose this week and the Eagles win this weekend to spare us even more headline embarrassment.

This is how I feel mostly. For the sake of the players and coaches that will return, I really feel like a Week 17 loss must be avoided at all costs. Sure, the media will have a bit of fun with a loss to Washington as well but it will die much quicker. I worry for someone like Dez, he takes it so hard. Worry about Romo for obvious reasons. Just can't see a Week 17 loss being good for anyone.

Say what you will, but it is sad and very unfortunate that there are some many fans hoping for losses in the next few weeks. I might not agree with it - but I can certainly understand why they think this way. This organization is broken...

I'm torn. I want to win out, of course. I have a hard time trusting our offense to lift us past either of these teams--even as pathetic as the Sk*ns are right now--all on it's own. And I can't see how we could possibly patch the defense quickly enough.

What I've wanted for the last few weeks was 8-8 and a division championship and a home playoff win, because that would crack me up and give me something to be annoying about during the whole offseason. At this point, though, that would mean losing to the Sk*ns, and I can't get behind that in any way, shape or form (not to mention beating the Eagles after that would look to be a really, really tall order). I *can* readily see both the Cowboys and the Eagles losing this week, though, which would make the week 17 game in Dallas interesting. If that happens, the stadium sound guy should play that forklift backing up musing the entire fourth quarter of the game, for either team.

Similar to my feelings, and a division title with a home playoff win seemed feasible not that long ago. This decimated linebacker squad might be the final nail though, unfortunately. But, at the same time we should still be able to beat the 'Skins I think. I mean they are REALLY in shambles right now. When was the last time they won a game? The key to beating them, in my opinion, is jumping out to an early lead. It should be easy to break their spirit. They know their HC is out the door, they have only 3 wins, and I'm thinking they're not too far off from mailing it in.

To be honest though, it might not even matter, cuz the Bears could very well walk right through the Eagles, making week 16 meaningless after the fact. I think it'll come down to whether we can beat the Eagles at home week 17, to be honest.

And then us fans can have a bye week. lol

I hate to agree in this regard but that's a huge "YES"!

I'm truly going to watch the games but I am not at all enjoying this team anymore.

Just tired of the BS.

I rather lose and know we're rebuilding than this junk.

Yeah. Well, I thought the Packers without Rodgers were awful, too. And they were...until our LB corps was gutted. It's a tall, tall order. Now, this Sk*ns game...and they're truly awful...looks like their Superbowl. Even with our patchwork LBs in the lineup, we were holding up ok with Durant at MLB. Hopefully, with Carter back and maybe dropping Church down some more, we can make it work. What we had going on on Sunday sure won't cut it.
Even then, beating the Eagles with duct tape and paperclips doesn't look too likely. I'd sure like to get the shot, though.

My post was accurate

Sure was. I was just pointing out that he'd already acknowledged he'd made a mistake, and then you came along after that and pointed it out again. It'd be like me waiting an hour, and quoting your 'No' post and replying with 'This post is accurate.' Yes, yes it is.

It was unlike any other game before it. We did not have 26-3 leads to blow in any of them.

I mean, the loss to Green Bay was unique, sure. But would you rather have been blown out from start to finish like we were against the Saints? All losses suck in their own way.

"Unique" as in historical collapse unique?

I will take the blow out from a good team type of loss any day of the week over that.

It is possible the season ends this Sunday. First game of the season that is a true must win. Skins will be up to end the Boys season. I expect the Bears to be ready for the Eagles too and could see both teams losing.

OK, I half to be careful here because I do not want to jinx the cowboys. Let me say this: The skins are playing a lot worse than the cowboys. they half a new guy at QB we half a veteran. They half a credible defense and we half none. Their coach has grown bitter and ours is still growing. head to head, our owner is smarter than danny snyder (yes, belief it!).

Cowboys, with their overall edge, leaf town with a 3-point win. I would say 17 point win but I half learned to be heartbroken by Oh, No Romo.

the game of the year is 2 week away: Cowboys again win by 3 points and we sneak into the playoffs. And we know how that will end.

I like this except the last sentence even if it's true.

Haha the blowouts definitely hurt less than the heart-breakers as a fan, but I don't think if I'd prefer the team not even being competitive.

There going to get close to 40 on us. We will never stop there running game and our pass defense is as bad as I have ever seen in the nfl. Its comical at this point.

Our goose is cooked sunday.

Only the jones family could one up the Snyder families nonsense. what the Commanders are going through is insane and yet they are going to kick our teeth in and knock us out of the playoffs.

No big deal though, Jerry and Stephen will enjoy it.

Hope that goes as well as your prediction of the Giants game a few weeks back.
