Parcells had a dirty jersey thrown in his face and didn't cut the guy, so forgive me if I don't think he would cut mo outright either.
I think this is spot on. The only question has to do with the Cowboys trying to move him in the next few weeks. My bet is they wouldn't get much of a nibble. So unless you want to go a man down at CB we're dealing with him the rest of the year.

How many busts have we had in the first round recently?
Dez? No.
Tyron? No.
Fred? No.
Martin? No.

People can say what they want about our drafting but in regards to success in the 1st round? We have had more success than most teams in this league. They get it right there more cases than not. What they do in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounds is what becomes mind boggling. Just their whole direction.

And if u read my earlier post of fwst article, team wants him to return and get back on board. They're not interested in cutting him.

I don' think cutting him is the answer but didn't Parcells essentially cut Bryant? I mean he traded him for Quincy Morgan lol.

He'll be worth more to us than getting rid of him at this point.

I feel for Mo, not because he's been demoted for OSCAN but because he hasn't even been considered as a potential replacement for Carr ' spot. If draft position doesn't matter, then why should contract status? Carr has been just as awful as Mo if not worse. Let's be real about it, if we're gonna start our two best CBS their names would be Moore and Scandrick.

I'll believe this accountability thing when I see Murray get benched for fumbling the ball again or Romo get benched for throwing another interception.

It'll be interesting to see who the new scapegoat is when our corners are still getting tore up because the opposing QB has an hour to throw back there and safety support will be questionable. What do we have, 3 sacks in 3 games? Give any QB a ton of time back there and they will carve any defense up. This is a bad time to pull this move. Claiborne didn't play that well last game, but he closed the game out with an interception. You see if you can build on that. and try to build his confidence back up. You don't call players out in public after a win, and demote them when they make a game sealing play. If you want to trade the guy, you don't pull a move like this. If you don't feel he's worth it, keep your mouth shut, try to build his confidence up, find a way to showcase him and trade him. Just more Jerry and Garrett wheelin-and-dealin.

I'd demote him one more spot and get Sterling Moore on the field.

+1000. your post is right on the money. If he is as bad as all you guys say he is, cut him. i dare GM Jerry and puppet Garrett to cut him. Claiborne is just the latest in a long line of scapegoats for this pitiful team.it was Bruce Carter last year and now it's Claiborne. the piling on is just sickening to watch. and for GM Jerry to go on radio bashing a player is a joke and a disgrace. and people wonder why this franchise has 1 playoff win in going on 2 decades. Mo Claiborne is the least of this team's problems. just like Bruce Carter was the least of the problem last year. T. Newman and D-Ware were also used as scapegoats before they were kicked out of Jerry and Garrett's little club.both are doing rather well right now. blaming Claiborne for this defense being so bad is a joke. Claiborne did not play last year when the Saints put up 40 first downs.give me a break. another scapegoat was Marty B. we were told he was a bum and could not play by people on this forum, and the local media. he seems to be fine since he got out of this hell hole.JERRY JONES NEEDS TO KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT! and like i said. IF MO IS SO BAD CUT HIM. he would picked up so fast by another team that it would make your head spin. Morris Claiborne is not the problem with this franchise cowboys fans.

There was literally zero reason to pull this move. If they think Claiborne is that bad, the organization should do as you say and cut him or keep your mouth shut about him, try to showcase him and move him. With Jerry calling Claiborne out publicly and then the organization demoting him, we just lowered his stock even further in the eyes of other potential suitors. Look at Cleveland and Trent Richardson. Richardson was woefully underperforming given his draft position. Did the Browns owner get on the radio and call Richardson out? No, they were silent about him, moved him and got a 1st round pick out of it.

The timing on this move was horrendous. The cowboys came back and won in historic fashion. Claiborne was struggling and he found a bit of redemption with the game-ending pick... Instead of letting the team gel and enjoy a victory and focusing in on the next game and also allowing Claiborne to build some confidence, we have Jones putting bad energy into the air and now we have a locker room issue. We need all the focus we can get against the Saints, but we now have a distraction due to this issue. If you want to make a move like this, you do it after a loss.

This doesn't demonstrate accountability. It demonstrates scapegoating. Why is no one ever held accountable on the offensive side of the ball? Romo throws picks and yet Weeden or Vaughn never sees the light of day. Demarco Murray has 3 fumbles over the course of 3 games and yet he never saw the bench. The offense hasn't been bad, but given the talent that is on that side of the ball, we should be looking like the Patriots or the Broncos. On paper, there is not literally any weakness on the offense, and we've invested the vast majority of our 1st rounders into the offense. We have hall of fame tight end Jason Witten, the league's currently leading rusher in Demarco Murray, one of the best receivers in the league in Dez Bryant and an extremely formidable O-line. We have a solid number 2 in Terrance Williams and a chain mover in Beasley... With the way this team is structured, we essentially said we're going to put the onus on the offense to win the game... but watch, if we have another .500 season, the defense will yet again be the scapegoat if Garrett is retained. It'll be about how many yards we're giving up and how Marinelli isn't getting the job done. It'll be about how awful Claiborne and Carr are as corners and how we need to replace Bruce Carter. Claiborne will probably be let go and we'll have a new flavor of the month defensive coordinator. We'll get a dose of hopium about how the upcoming year will be different. We'll end up having mismatched personnel due to this new coordinator running a different scheme. We'll have a roster full of limited talent or talent that never sees the field due to injury who now has to deal with learning a brand new defense... meaning the defensive will again be a scapegoat for the Jerry and Jason circus.. and in the end, we'll have the exact same problems that we've had.

There is nothing i can add to your post. it's spot on.and it explains why this franchise has 1 playoff win in almost 2 decades.

This doesn't have anything to do with Claiborne being a scapegoat. He isn't the reason the defense is bad. He's certainly a key contributor to it, but he's definitely not the only one.

But to pull a move like this after being demoted just shows his character, and it's NOT good. He hasn't played well, he said so himself. And even though he made the interception to seal the game, as he said himself it doesn't excuse him for playing as bad as he did. He's a grown *** man making millions of dollars, act like it.

You don't like getting demoted? Put in that extra work, start playing better and take your damn job back and make the coaching staff look like fools for demoting you. Not storm out, and skip film review, like that's something he can afford to do with the way he's been playing.

I'd love nothing more for this dude to turn it around and start being a player, because we sure as hell need him to.

But save the scapegoat stuff, until now that is. After this move, you can bet for damn sure he's gonna be one.

It doesn't show great character for him, but what does it show about Jerry Jones' character to call out a player publicly and give him a demotion after a victory? or jerry and jason's character when they let Rob Ryan go when he was on a trip? how do you think Romo would react getting demoted for Weeden after having a shaky start, but throwing a game-winning touchdown and Jerry Jones is on television bad-mouthing him?

Romo has built up some credibility. For every 3 INT game he has, he has 5 really good game. That isn't the case for Claiborne, and quite frankly Claiborne hasn't done **** to warrant anything. He deserved to be demoted, he played really bad (he admitted it himself). That's what good teams do, whether they win or lose, they plan accordingly. Point being, this should light a fire under him to want to win his job back, not him go crying like a little ***** about it. He's a football player for gods sake.

The question is how "bum" of a shoulder is it?

He's been nicked up so often since he was drafted at some point I'm sure the players on the team and the coaching staff question all the nicks & cuts and how serious they actually are or were.

And that's not a bad point either. The way I see it, FWIW, is we have got to have some DBs. If the coaches feel they can get better on the field then his little ole feelings will just have to be hurt

Claiborne had it coming he has so few big plays in his career, i can remeber all of them.
redzone INT vs Panthers his rookie year
fumble return for TD vs the Eagles
Forced fumble on Jimmy Graham in OT, ball bounced all the way to the one year line where the saints recovered it.
INT vs Broncos last year
Rams INT last game.

Other than that he was either injured or burned on a regular basis by mediocre WR.
