I prefer this reaction as opposed to him just lamely accepting his situation. All eyes are on him now. Back it up son!
I didn't see where anyone defended him. I certainly don't. But I will say this. If you are a player that CARES, and from all I can see, Mo cares, then you are already harder on yourself, and putting more pressure on yourself than anyone else. When the owner comes out and basically says you are a disappointment, I just don't know what the owner is aiming at? Maybe to fire Mo up, but guess what, who would know best how to motivate this particular player? I've heard great coach after great coach say that every player is different. Some need encouragement, some need a kick in the pants. Now who would know best what Mo needs? Jerry Jones, or the coaching staff? I say the coaching staff. Let THEM handle that stuff. How hard is it to say something like:
"You know what, that is a question I'm never going to address. The player is young, his career story is still being written. Why don't we get to the end of that story before we evaluate it?"
Not hard to do.
I think this is spot on. The only question has to do with the Cowboys trying to move him in the next few weeks. My bet is they wouldn't get much of a nibble. So unless you want to go a man down at CB we're dealing with him the rest of the year.
Ahhh, CBs have ego's the size of Texas, he'll come back and be a better player. Chill a few days. THEN TRADE HIS BUTT![]()
What reason did he have for quitting? That his heart wasn't in it? Lol that he thought he didn't have a chance of making the team? Lol
Cornerback Morris Claiborne skipped the Cowboys' walk-through practice and angrily left the club's Valley Ranch training facility Tuesday after being informed that Orlando Scandrick was replacing him in the starting lineup, multiple sources told ESPN.
The Cowboys could fine Claiborne for missing the practice or conduct detrimental to the team.
Claiborne's demotion came a few hours after Jerry Jones said on his weekly radio show that the third-year cornerback had not been worth the sixth pick of the 2012 in the draft, which Dallas moved up to acquire.

Can't say that I disagree with this move. Be a professional Mo - play out your contract and go on your way. The Raiders need a new star.![]()
as already noted, Parcells had a dirty jersey thrown in his face and didn't cut the guy, so forgive me if I don't think he would cut mo outright either.
Claiborne had it coming he has so few big plays in his career, i can remeber all of them.
redzone INT vs Panthers his rookie year
fumble return for TD vs the Eagles
Forced fumble on Jimmy Graham in OT, ball bounced all the way to the one year line where the saints recovered it.
INT vs Broncos last year
Rams INT last game.
Other than that he was either injured or burned on a regular basis by mediocre WR.
Sterling Moore is
+1000. your post is right on the money. If he is as bad as all you guys say he is, cut him. i dare GM Jerry and puppet Garrett to cut him. Claiborne is just the latest in a long line of scapegoats for this pitiful team.it was Bruce Carter last year and now it's Claiborne. the piling on is just sickening to watch. and for GM Jerry to go on radio bashing a player is a joke and a disgrace. and people wonder why this franchise has 1 playoff win in going on 2 decades. Mo Claiborne is the least of this team's problems. just like Bruce Carter was the least of the problem last year. T. Newman and D-Ware were also used as scapegoats before they were kicked out of Jerry and Garrett's little club.both are doing rather well right now. blaming Claiborne for this defense being so bad is a joke. Claiborne did not play last year when the Saints put up 40 first downs.give me a break. another scapegoat was Marty B. we were told he was a bum and could not play by people on this forum, and the local media. he seems to be fine since he got out of this hell hole.JERRY JONES NEEDS TO KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT! and like i said. IF MO IS SO BAD CUT HIM. he would picked up so fast by another team that it would make your head spin. Morris Claiborne is not the problem with this franchise cowboys fans.
I'll believe this accountability thing when I see Murray get benched for fumbling the ball again or Romo get benched for throwing another interception.
It'll be interesting to see who the new scapegoat is when our corners are still getting tore up because the opposing QB has an hour to throw back there and safety support will be questionable. What do we have, 3 sacks in 3 games? Give any QB a ton of time back there and they will carve any defense up. This is a bad time to pull this move. Claiborne didn't play that well last game, but he closed the game out with an interception. You see if you can build on that. and try to build his confidence back up. You don't call players out in public after a win, and demote them when they make a game sealing play. If you want to trade the guy, you don't pull a move like this. If you don't feel he's worth it, keep your mouth shut, try to build his confidence up, find a way to showcase him and trade him. Just more Jerry and Garrett wheelin-and-dealin.
Cant wait until Moore gets burned and everyone wants Claiborne back
