Won't happen, Eagles or Commanders will pay him. Then people like you can cry some more, when we become the bottom feeders on the NFC East, While Dez/Eagles or Skins, put it on us Twice a Year.

You won't be saying, Good Luck, anymore. lol!

How did all those other teams win SB without Dez? I love Dez I hope he does get resigned to a longterm deal but sorry I don't think he is the be all of the Dallas Cowboys and without him this team will be a bottom feeder. I have seen man love before but you are taking it to a whole new level.

I hope it doesn't come to this, but in the end, the market may decide what Dez gets.

If there really are enough red flags (I sure don't see them) to warrant not giving huge guaranteed money (just huge overall non-guaranteed) then other teams will end up knowing whatever Dallas knows.

Jerry is many things, but being cheap with player contracts is not one of them.
If anything, historically he has been one of the worst at erring on the wrong side of that and overpaying players.
There is VERY long list of players that the Cowboys overpaid and damaged the team going forward.

In the end, I feel certain that Dez will be a Cowboy.

I'd like to see what kind of numbers Dez would put up trying to catch balls from RG3/McCoy/Cousins and Mark Sanchez.

If he said it directly to the team, no problem. To say it to the public is just wrong.

These guys give interviews and they're asked about upcoming contract negotiations. Probably everyday.

I personally don't have a problem with the comments. Money is respect. Dez and the organization have been loyal to each other in different ways. Neither side should take that for granted.

People dismissing Dez's value are quick to forget the 4 #1's we gave up to get a guy like him; all of the times we had guys running routes that just could not separate from defenders, or take over games like an 88 should. Be fair, negotiate hard and pay the man.

I agree I want to see a deal get done. I want to see a fair deal get done but fair is something that has to take place from both sides. It seems the mindset is that it is Jerry being unfair when we do not know what Dez and his agent are looking for. Would it be fair if he is asking for Calvin Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald money? People are assuming it is all Jerry yet when I look at contracts Jerry has paid out in the past I seriously doubt he is low balling Dez.

Agree on all points and that's why I said "negotiate hard" that meant both sides, and "pay the man" meant get it done RIGHT for everyone.

Just looking for clarification. lol I agree I want Jerry and Stephen to be fair with players but I don't expect them to bend over and pay out whatever is demanded by the player. I want Murray back as well but should he be demanding AP money then I would have to say no if it where my call. Just as I would say no to CJ or Fitz money to Dez.

Dez/Lesean/and Maclin would dominate. For you to say other wise, you are just being blind, and a homer.

Maclin speaks for himself. He's not your prototypical WR. Dude isn't even probably considered top 10. His numbers have been great this season though, and he get's it done. So Dez would have a hell of a year in the Eagles System.

RG3, I'll give you that 1. It could work though.

Let him walk, and you will see what we become. Unless we find someone on his level.

I seen homers, but you are taking it to a whole new level.

Only a fool, and a huge homer, could believe we would still be competitive with Williams,Beasley, and Harris. Who the hell are you kidding? Go to another message board, that is just all about sports in general, and make a statement that we could still be competitive with that core. You would get laughed out the building.

Dez has a hard time getting separation and rarely takes over games.

If he doesn't extend with Cowboys and if Cowboys don't franchise him, I think Jets will be all over Dez. Too much drama for Jets to pass this opportunity.

I don't want to see him walk but this notion oh the Cowboys will collapse without Dez as if he is the only WR in the entire NFL other teams have won without Dez. I don't think Williams or Beasley or Harris would fill the void Dallas clearly would have to add a talented WR. I want a deal done but there is a bottom line in which Dallas should not go over in terms of payout. In the end I think Dez deal will get done but he is 1 person and this crap of well just rebuild the entire team comments you have made based on Dez not being here is flat out stupid.

We are not built like those teams. Are you that big of a homer?

We are not the Pats. We don't have Tom Brady. We don't have a QB that you can just put **** around and he can make it happen. Manning? He won with weapons, and still has to have weapons to compete, stop it. Rodgers, he has the weapons, and a great playing D that year. Seahawks? They had the best Defense in the whole league, and a QB who was mobile and could buy time, with a top 3 running back. Ravens? They had a great Defense, and a hot QB at the time. Steelers? Again, they had a great D at the time.

We are not built like other teams, we don't have that defense. We need weapons to succeed. Plain and simple. Right now Dez is our biggest weapon.
