Very good points, and I agree completely. Unless there is some piece of evidence that makes all of that irrelevant. Otherwise it's just as you say.
The biggest issue I see with all of this that I forgot to mention that it was Prescott who filed the charges FIRST which broke the news of this story.

I have no clue what really happened, nor do any of us, but at this point, I'd rather have Dak's lawyer representing me vs Miss Shores lawyers.

Again, I'm not the brightest bulb in the factory, but when you read something like this, Miss Shore's lawyers darn well better have proof other than "he said, she said"...

I'm sorry, the but the accuser should not be filing a police report AFTER asking for 100 million dollars and it now be sued by their accuser.

Her laywers come across as big bone heads...

It wasn't Dak's idea to press charges against this lady. This is the scheme his legal team came up with in response to learning of this incident from her legal team. Until then, Dak intended to put that event out of his head as if it never happened.

Like I said, there needs to be something there. Or else the other side has to be criminally insane. After 7 years you ask for 100 million dollars? They had to know that would never happen. They basically gave Dak no choice.

But like someone else said. It could be something as simple as hoping they would counter with something much less instead, like 5-10 million to keep it quiet. That didn't happen.

Think about it. That might almost be worth it. This is not good for Dak in any way. Even if he's innocent. It still doesn't make much sense. I just can't believe people would be that stupid. Including the lawyer.

No. When the Randy Gregory contract dispute happened and he didn’t sign because of a behavior clause in his contract Mike Fisher stated that clause is in every contract except one: Dak Prescott. According to Fish the standard clause in contracts that would null the contract or cause repayment of signing bonus if player was suspended or disciplined by the league was omitted from Dak’s contract. Fish said that was the first time he’s seen it omitted from a contract since covering the team. At the time I didn’t think much of it cuz I didn’t even fathom a behavior issue from Dak.

Concerning.

This event allegedly happened in 2017 and Dak negotiated the behavior clause out of his contract in 2020.

I really hope this situation gets resolved quickly and before they extend him. If they extend him without a resolution to this issue then Jerry and DNA boy are the absolute dumbest FO people in the league and they deserve to never win another football game again.
Wow! Thanks for that response. Omitting it in itself is very concerning considering the timetable of events.

But why would you go to the hospital and have an exam from potentially being raped and not go to the Police at the same time? Then 7 years later you decide to bring the case, but instead of going to the Police you send an email asking for $100 milllion dollars?
I don’t know. Maybe she was scared, traumatized etc. there’s a video with Mike Floria (I may be misspelling his name) where he addresses the money aspect. This is common in the NFL, according to him, that a crime is committed and the alleged victim reaches out to the player asking for money so they won’t press charges. Most of the time the player pays it to make it go away. What’s very uncommon here is the 100 million. That’s a lot of money, but that practice happens more than we know because it doesn’t hit the news. If I find the video I’ll post it for you, he explains it way better than I am right now.

Going back to why she waited so long. That doesn’t concern me. She doesn’t have a leg to stand on if there’s no evidence regardless if it happened yesterday or 7 years ago. Why she waited is irrelevant to there being evidence or no evidence. It’s there’s evidence, Ala rape kit and doctor’s report then the time gap is meaningless.

What concerns me is the fact the police accepted the case. They wouldn’t accept it without evidence. That’s concerning. In my state they wouldn’t accept a case from 7 years ago just on an accusation. They wouldn’t waste their time and money on it with other cases to investigate. I’m concerned that whatever the alleged victim said/or showed to the police is causing them to open an investigation on it. This just sucks all around for everybody.

Yes, I agree. Why would he want a behavior clause omitted if he doesn’t do bad behavior? Like you said, the timetable is not making Dak look good. When I first heard about that clause being omitted I was like why? Dak is a choir boy model citizen. Why would he care. I can see RG caring but why Dak? Now I’m concerned about it.

Okay in that article the alleged victim’s lawyer, who probably needs more law school, said there are other women that want to come forward. That is very concerning. That’s downright scary.

My only point is you don't go after a very high profile person which story is going to be national news with a lawyer who needs more law school.

Perhaps there is some master plan here on how this is going down by the woman's lawyers, but considering one just got out of law school a couple of years ago, my money is on the fact that they probably have an "oh crap" moment.

A little more on the story...

Miss Shores should have done her research on her legal team. At this point, I'd give it a 50/50 chance she could have been talked into by them LOL

That said, perhaps Dak did what he was accused of, but this legal team or the woman is really muddying the waters.

Her lawyers are very amateur and not very good. But now there’s a police investigation so it’s going to come down to evidence and if there is any. Having a bad lawyer does not mean Dak is innocent, it just means that she has a bad lawyer. If the lawyer hates Dak for his on the field play, that still is not counted as evidence. Police are involved and if there’s real evidence then due process will play out. We can’t say she’s guilty of extortion until she’s proven guilty, just like Dak haters can’t say he’s guilty of rape until he’s proven to be guilty. This sounds like a high school argument around the lunch table between her lawyers and the media. But the police are investigating so if there’s evidence either way then it won’t matter how stupid her lawyers are.

I think for us as of right now with the limited facts we know is how will the NFL look at this. The NFL can suspend him for nothing. That’s a concern. Also I’m concerned that one of the lawyers stated that there are more women to come forward. That’s scary, if true. Because right now her lawyers are not looking good.

I didn’t learn much in high school. But one lesson I learned was from my track coach. One day he was complaining to me because one of our best runners got a girl pregnant and couldn’t join the team because he had to get a job. He looked at me and said “do you want the secret to a good life? Don’t stick your D into crazy. In fact don’t stick your D into anything that’s not committed to you on a personal, emotional and spiritual level. It’s just not worth it”. I have followed his advice and lived a very stress, STD, legal free life.

I don’t remember algebra, geometry, physics, government, or any other thing in the classroom. I remember that conversation with my HS coach and thank him for it everyday. Best. Advice. Ever.

Yeah, if its just one woman making allegations that is one thing, but if multiple women start coming forward with similar allegations, then this starts to become more serious.

That is what happened to Watson, at first it was just one massage girl coming forward with allegations that Watson made her massage his johnson, and everybody pretty much laughed and dismissed it.

Then another woman came forward, and another, and another, and another, and the whole thing just snowballed from there and all of a sudden nobody was laughing anymore and the media started asking Watson some very pointed questions.

Excellent advice.

Too many people nowadays are into "instant gratification" and dont take the time to think "is banging this chick really a good idea"?

True, but it doesn't equal to rape. It's simply 2 consenting but probably drunk adults having sex and not caring a thing in the world.
