can't complain about Trezeguet, he did nothing for them in qualification. I would have kept Cisse.

Trezeguet is a player that assures dozens of goals every year and it's still inexplicable how he was banned from National Team...Anyway, domenech had what he deserved and IMO we have seen the worst France since long time

Domenech will likely pay the ultimate price for failure. Still, it was the first time in 15 years that France lost back to back games.

The injury to Ribeiry and the fact Vieira wasn't able to play a game definitely hurt.

Anyway, Italy should go down to Spain. Any day Italy loses is a great day.

Russia is playing a very impressive game and deserving to carry on.
They just scored the 2nd great goal to Sweden: 2 - 0 with almost 40 mins to play

If I remember correctly, and I did watch most of the France games in qualifying, Trezeguet scored only against Faroe Islands.

Anelka did quite well in qualifying, scoring the winner in Lithuania, against Ukraine, Faroe Islands etc

Sigh, the only thing worse than France not advancing is the fact Italy did.

I might be biased from watching Anelka play at Chelsea. Besides the fact that all Chelsea players are terrible, I thought he sucked especially and was a bit of an *******.


With France out, I'm jumping on to the underdog Russia bandwagon. Arshavin is a beast.

You're right man...at least it's true for official competition (and not friendly games)...and it's not a good news...
It was 30 years since last Holland win over Italy and we know how it has gone...
