i hate germany, but man are they amazing! spain, brazil, argentina and uruguay are pretty much the only countries that could beat them IMO

the only euro club i disdain is france.
russia with those ugly kits and brawling fans are getting close.

i agree germany would have to have a terrible day to lose to just about anyone in this tourney.

i wish argentina was playing this tourney just for the fans! if i ever ex-communicate that is where i am moving.

It's no excuse, would it be ok to attack Skins fans in Dallas?

Out of the 180 or so arrest yesterday 25 where Russian

I guarantee you if this happened in England and English fans where provoked by say Germans and they did this it would not be a valid excuse so i don't see why it should be for Poland.

There's tons of club Soccer every year all over Europe UEFA doesn't really get to say "we didn't expect this". Certain countries are worse then others and they prove it year around every year. These countries should be forced to show improvement before they get awarded tournaments like this.

QFT. Well said.

ya, they are epic! underrated fans are the chile fans! i dont know if you saw the Copa last year, but there was a game where they had a late goal to win and the fans were INSANE! greatest crowd ive ever seen in sports! here is a video of it at the beginning of the crowd going nuts, it was even crazier after the game went final

I think they would beat all of those teams. Obviously they can beat Germany but I think the Germans are better, outside of Spain due to their recent success.

the thing about brazil, uruguay and argentina is that they can score with them, they would turn them into 4-3 type games. those are the only teams with the fire power to match, spain would beat them by making it their pace, but they would need to be healthy, which they arent right now

Germany is superior in defense to all of those teams. No way Argentina or anybody is dropping 3 goals on Germany. Argentina has not been very good lately as well.

i guess we will just have to agree to disagree. when it matters, germany has rarely been able to beat brazil, and the world cup and confederation cups are both there, so i think brazil will beat them, and it will be basically home games for uruguay in both cups and argentina in the world cup, they travel extremely well in the copa, cant see the world cup being any different

The Germans always show up for tournaments. So does Brazil, not so much Argentina or Uruguay. Uruguay is definitely not on Germany's level.

uruguay has been improving immensely since diego forlan showed up, they won the copa and have been going to europe to beat or tie with some really good teams, including italy, russia and the ukraine! they have one of the best goalies in the world, a great center back and 3 AMAZING strikers! they arent the second ranked team in the world rankings by accident!

i agree on argentina, though, they have been huge disappointments in recent years, but they have just as much talent as any country in the world (except for maybe a goalie) and the best player in the world, they could turn it around at any time.

The problem with Diego Forlan is he is 33 years old now. Suarez is very good, but he is also a head case. They did have a great world cup though, probably why they are ranked #2; Germany should be passing them up here soon.

ya, my guess is at the end of the euros spain and germany will be 1 and 2, depending on who wins it, then uruguay 3 and brazil 4

history has taught me one thing in world soccer though, brazil dominates germany, germany dominates argentina and argentina and brazil are a tossup. moral of the story, NO ONE dominates brazil, germany is great, but if they play brazil in the world cup they will lose.

Well I like Brazil and kind of agree, but it's not like Brazil has run through the table in the past couple of World Cup's. They aren't invincible and can definitely be beat. They have a very young team right now. Germany has a team of players where almost everybody has played on the same club with each other and they also have some extremely good young talent. Mario Gotze isn't even getting playing time at the moment. I would take them over Brazil.

true, but at the same time, its kind of unfair to them and other south american countries that the world cup has been in europe 4 times since the last time it was in south american, im surprised they are even so close when it comes to world cup title between continents. Being at home is a HUGE advantage and i think they will make it to at least the semifinals quite easily, and if they lose it will be to another south american team, not a european team.

Why? Russian fans were to blame with the march through Warsaw. Russia was fined and docked 6 points for Euro 2016 qualifying for what happened yesterday.

The Poland government allowed the Russians to have a march in honor of Russia day on June 12th. Maybe it was a bad choice by the government to allow it.

Here's some footage of Mario Gotze vs. Brazil

This kid is going to be one of the top players in the world in a couple of years.

He already won a Bundesliga title with BVB Dortmund when he was 19 years old.

Brazil ain't on the same level as the top Euro teams right now, they might and probably will be in 2 years but right now it wouldn't matter where they held the WC either a Euro team or Argentina would win.

I definitely think they will make it far, but I'm willing to bet that a European team will be in the finals. The last world cup wasn't in Europe.

i think uruguay would win it right now, that team amazes me every time i watch them play. it just makes me so mad that they have 1 percent of the population of the US! ONE PERCENT!!! and they are so great! why the hell cant we be as good! im sure we have 1% of people that care about soccer just as much here!
