Doucet...drafted by the Cardinals. Has not caught a pre-season pass yet.

Manningham..drafted by the Giants. Has not caught a pre-season pass yet.

Caldwell...drafted by the Bengals. 3 catches for 22 yards.

Douglas...drafted by the Falcons. 3 catches for 34 yards.

Outstanding solutions!!!!!!!!!!

Well apparently they were crazy about Hardy and would have taken Sweed, Hardy would have taken some doing but Sweed wouldn't have taken nearly as much since he was picked only a couple ahead. I'm not saying they should have done it, but they were certainly interested in both guys.

I agree. Heck I don't think Dallas expected to get Jenkins but when he was there they took him. If Sweed or Hardy were there I would not have been surprised had they taken 1 or the other.

I didn't know pre-season was how we defined whether a player would have been a good pick or not. If that's the case, what has Bennett done exactly?

The OP is able to start a brand new thread complaining about Bennett based upon his preseason; his solutions can be defined based upon theirs too.

Ah well, good point then. I can't say I agree with whoever started the thread, the the core of the argument is one we've had here a billion times.

I didn't say it was.

2 catches for 20 yards and some very entertaining interviews.

Its dire we get a WR now.

It is? We have the same receiving core we had last year when we had one of the best passing offenses in the league. Except, we appear to be better.

Until T.O. went down.

Exactly. Last year, we had TO, Crayton, Witten, with Hurd coming off the bench. This year, we have TO, Crayton, Witten, with Hurd coming off the bench. And, oh yeah, Miles Austin has improved dramatically and will be back from his injury. Stanback has an offseason program under his belt and Amendola might even be a keeper. If it wasn't dire last year, why is it dire this year?

And when T.O. went down like he does every single season we sucked and one and done in playoffs cause he was hurt.We shouldnt have to rely on T.O. so much I know he is great but man he is getting up there.

Any team that loses their best offensive weapon will be in trouble.

We are no different than any other team except our number one is better than most.

Huh? A 35 year old receiver conseidered one of the best at the position by some should be playing FAR LESS during the first two preseason games than a rookie drafted in the second round. TO has been in for what? 3 series? So three series and three catches... not bad.

I guess the Patriots are in trouble too when and if Moss goes down. Everyone can't be the Cardinals and have two #1 receivers on the staff.

No offense but if Moss goes down The Pats are still good...:

The Patriots have won Superbowls without Moss, we haven't won a playoff game WITH T.O.

Not even that I disagree, but that's not a very good comparison.
