What this graph is effectively stating is there is little difference between a first round tight end and a fourth round tight end. Where was Jason Witten drafted? Gronkowski? Ertz Kittle Kelce Goedert Andrews Schultz Waller? Amongst the best TE’s in football, none were first rounders.

You’re really just throwing away draft capital by taking one that high, nevermind the fact that it’s probably the least valuable position toward team success on offense or defense.

Ithink Kraft is going to be the best te from this draft.

We need a linebacker somewhere in the draft IMO. Just in terms of numbers we are short.

I don’t disagree. But they only have so many picks and I felt the opportunity didn’t align as well.

Can’t get everything you want to do in the draft. I think there are several good free agents out there that I would be looking at.

They always seem to go into TC short on LB's. For the past few years, they went into TC with maybe 8 at the most. 6 at one point.
I never understood why so few. But they would overload at other positions. I think the last 2 years they went in with about 14 WR's.

To my count they have 6 LB's, and 1 on reserves / futures, and 6 WR's, plus 3 on R/F deals.
Counting all the R/F's players they have 70 players under contract. Add 7 from the draft, leaves 13 UDFA's or other FA's to bring in. Expect 4 or 5 of them to be WR's, maybe 1 or 2 LB's tops.

Not at 26. Good ones will be there on day 2.
Possibly, but the dropoff from Bijuan and Charbonnet is massive. I don't expect Bijuan to be there, everything I see has him going top 15, but Charbonnet would improve our O much more than any TE in this draft.

Probably Mayer will around say....20 ish but that leaves Kincaid and Washington both available at 26. But I'm all for taking the best available Olineman at this point. This is a need and we don't quite have the luxury of taking a TE that early in the draft IMO
It's not a need. We already have two good ones.

Washington is a 3rd round talent.

Bijon won't be there. But Charbonnet can be drafted in the 2nd. Those big name TE's probably won't. Therefore you have to go TE and 26 if you want one. Personally I'd prefer they wait on a TE.

Highly unlikely that Charbonnet will be there for our 2nd.

TE is just not a need for us, and there will be other higher rated players available there.

About the 4 current TE's on the roster. And 5 TE's that could be on their radar, and a 6th honorable mention prospect.

Top listed TE is Michael Mayer from ND, for the article top listed anyway. I believe he is the TE @CowboyRoy has been posting about.
Mentions Kincaid, then Washington and a few others.
Washington is a very interesting guy. Not at 26, but he adds a deminsion few could at the position. He’s basically a 6th oline man who has solid speed and can catch the ball. Could be a nice redzone target too

Yes I like what I seen in Washington also. And like his size, we need that type of a player and size that can become a true red zone, end zone threat. Been lacking that for years. Actually since Dez has been gone, and Witten aged.
Dez was a monster in the redzone
We really miss that

I’m thinking TE is likely in round 1, just because Mayer and Kincaid are top prospects that could conceivably fall to us. They could easily both be gone by 26 as well.
If they are gone then that pushes someone else down. 26 in this draft is not as bad as 26 generally is for our needs
I just wish we had a pick high in the second lol

He doesn't have solid speed. He's very slow.

Red zone threat and great blocker. Not much as a receiver.

Well you have Micah and Wilson who play a hybrid lber spot. Dallas has a bunch of really young lbers. Parsons, Clark, Harper and Cox.
