Fish: Prescott I don't think my contract is going to prevent us from making any moves

How did Dak "lie"?

It isnt magic that other teams GM's have managed to pay their star players, while building their teams with talent in free agency/draft.

You find it funny that Dak's contract could potentially lead to 4 more seasons like this one?
Yes he does. The Dak stans have dropped their masks. They are Dak fans, not Cowboys fans. They are openly cheering for Dak and his contract to wreck future seasons to "own" the Cowboys fans that want their team to eventually matter again. They were wrong about Dak and his abilities so the Cowboys world must burn for it.

Some of those QBs who got paid barely had a playoff record. Kyler Murray had a 0-1 playoff record when he got paid more than Dak. His playoff record is still 0-1.Trevor Lawrence playoff record was 1-1 when he got paid more than Dak. Tua’s playoff record was 0-1 when he got paid more than Dak. Fans were bellyaching about Dak when he was on his rookie contract.
Why should we care what other QB's are doing to their teams? We care about what Dak is doing to the Dallas Cowboys, and it isn't good. Don't try to justify Dak's stupid contract by saying "so and so made more than Dak at one time". No one cares about that, other than the Stans like yourself.

Dak has been more successful than several high priced QBs.
Dak has the worst starting playoff record in NFL history, so by definition, the only "high priced QB's" Dak has been more successful than were all busts that failed to even make the playoffs with any regularity.

All of those guys are younger than Dak.

And we have been complaining about Dak since his rookie contract because it was obvious the guy is a mid QB who wasn't going to ever get it done, and so far we are right about that.

Do you seriously think Dak is going to get any better in year 10+ than what he has already shown?

You don’t have to care what those other QBs are doing. The point is they were being paid more money than Dak despite putting up lesser numbers, not having as good a winning percentage and having fewer playoff wins.

He is right, and you would realize it as well if you go and look at Spotrac for more than a few minutes.

The nfl makes money hand over first, so the salary cap goes up every year. From 2023 to 2024, it jumped up a whopping 13.6% from 224.8m to 255m.

Contracts get restructured ALL THE TIME to allow for cap wiggle room. Unless you do something stupid like the Saints, you can nearly always get out of a cap squeeze.

Even with Dak's big dumb contract, the cowboys have like 25m in cap space for next year (so far) and that's not taking into account a cap increase.

He has the worst starting playoff record in NFL history at 2-5? Go back to bed!
