Can you imagine what may have happened if our mighty defense only gave up TD's on 50% of the drives. Sad part is, I do think our defense gave up at all. They just sucked the entire game.

Once our defense got punched in the mouth on the Packers opening drive they were done. That happened all season with our defense when we gave up an early TD. We couldn’t play worth a crap unless we had a lead.

As soon as the team was not great any more, Aikman retired early. How come he could not carry the team???

He wasn’t good enough for Washington, now look at where they’re at. They went from bad to worse. They haven’t had a winning season since they moved on from him. They’ve already wasted one first round pick and several other picks on QBs that failed. Now they’re going to have to use the second overall pick on a QB that’s not even the top rated QB. Had they paid Cousins they could’ve built a team around him with all those picks they’re burning on QBs.

A lot of teams that are using top 10 pics on QBs aren’t even ending up with pretty good. Sometimes it’s better to leave well enough alone. The problem with Cousins is he wasn’t getting Washington to the playoffs consistently and he had never won playoff game. We are getting to the playoffs consistently with our QB and he has won playoff games. Statistically, he’s one of the better QBs in the league and he has a solid regular season winning percentage. We just have to get him and the team going in the playoffs.

I think half the time it is the coaches, and HC, FO etc, not just the QB.

Only reason people blame the defense is because of people blaming Dak for the lose.

The entire team played like crap. Game plan was crap, we thought we had won the game before it was started. Celebration parties were already planned.

I can safely predict right now that dallas will never win a SB with dak, partly because he will making way too much $ along with Lamb and parsons,
the bulk of $ going to those 3.

I would also add if Dak played in the post season the way he plays in the regular season it would be different. When Dak is playing loose and confident he’s a good to great QB. When he’s mentally bogged down he is average to poor QB. The biggest problem is when he gets into the playoffs he mentally shuts down. So if he rose to the occasion in the playoffs and made his teammates better then you could possibly get away with a less talented team around him. But in the playoffs he needs a well oiled machine to help him when he gets mentally bogged down.

IMO this is why we have great regular seasons and poor post seasons. With a 2-6 record in win or go home games Dak has a history of not playing well when it counts. Past behavior is a good indicator of future events. Time to move on unless he accepts a very team friendly contract so we can build a well oiled machine around him. Unless the goal is to be a great regular season team and get bounced in the playoffs.
