Mo was playing lights out for us last year for the 1st time in his career, the light finally came on and he was our best cornerback by far...Until he got hurt. Would love to bring him back on another 1yr or two yr contract.

Cheap is the only way I'd want Claiborne back. Even then it would depend. He's missed over 1/2 of games past 4 yrs. I like him and he seems to work hard, but at some point something has to give.

Even if it were only for the league minimum I wouldn't want the Cowboys to resign him.

I want durable players who you can count on to play. Let him rehab on someone else's dime.

If he comes back, I hope the contract is a short, incentive-based one.

I would want Mo and Carr back, certainly, if affordable and it monetarily doesn't stop anything else that they plan on doing...IMO, that is a pretty good set of DB's (with OScan, Brown, Jones, add Carroll and bring these two back, draft another)...the real problem is allowing QB's 6 to 8 seconds with no pressure....the defense looked ok when they were able to apply some pressure, but the DB's will look like trash on any team if you expect them to cover for extended amounts of time....get some pressure up the middle and on the ends, even if they don't get a sack, it makes the QB's a little nervous and then they make mistakes...

Then you give him a Sean Lee type of incentive based contract. He stays healthy and on the field and he gets paid. Otherwise its no big loss. I dont think we will find much better value anywhere else.

Why do people want this guy back? He's had a HALF a good season, and hasn't ever played an entire season. He's completely replaceable.

I thought everyone hated Claiborne. Isn't him being gone a good thing?

Nobody hates Mo, he is the best corner on the team.....................what people hate is that he spends half the year in the tub.

It like having a Porsche, but you have to put the dam thing in the shop every month because the engine wont start half the time. At some point you just have to say screw it, and start driving your Ford pickup. Yea, not as flashy and not as fast, but at least the dam thing starts every day.

Id like him back because his play has improved dramatically over the last couple years. As long as the contract is reasonable we have enough depth to take a chance on him remaining healthy, however unlikely that is. Alot of people were done with Sean Lee too a few years back and that one worked out well for us.

Sean Lee was never NOT good. Claiborne has been terrible for 90% of his career, on top of not being healthy ever. Like I said, he's had a good HALF a season. That's only a handful of games.

The season before last he began to come on a bit also. Hes had 2 years of solid play, although his health remains an issue. But you asked why people want him back so I point towards his continued improvement. We need another CB, from what Ive gathered Carr may cost more than we want to spend. Mo could be had with an incentive layden contract. So what exactly is the risk in re signing an improving player for a reasonable contract?
