Most your successful QBs come from the 1st round.
Not all but most.
Not all but most.
By many reports he's an arrogant fellow. Might make him good might make him bad. He certainly is a gamer. We will find out what he is made of tonight against Bama.
Yes. Many of us will be watching closely.
Phillip Rivers arrogant or RG3 arrogant? Major difference IMO.

As I said...besides the Manning brothers, no top 10 pick has won a Superbowl with their original team since John Elway.

Troy Aikman disagrees with you.
No he doesn't, John Elway has won a Super Bowl since Troy Aikman has so my point remains valid.
No top 10 QB has won a super bowl with their original team besides the manning brothers since John Elway. Trent Dilfer is only top 10 QB to win a super bowl at all in that period but he never came close to living up to his draft stratus.
The Commanders investment was a bust.
The Eagles did make a second round investment, he is on another team.
The Giants only hit because they had a "can't miss" Manning prospect. There is a not a can't miss prospect in this draft. As far as your comparison to the past Cowboy quarterbacks, the NFL has changed a lot since then.
You've seen this year what we will look like when Romo is through if we don't start addressing the QB position.

True, but the problem might be deeper than the talent at the position. The system must catch up to the year 2016.

So in one year, this system went from a 13-5 system to a 4-12 system?
No, Romo is 16-6 in this system. The system is fine.
This team still needs defensive talent, another receiver, a young RB, and a better backup QB.
Mostly, it needs its elite QB to stay healthy.
To further your point, I'm highly doubtful that Goff, Lynch, or Cook are any better pro prospects than Brandon Weeden.
Drafting them doesn't make them good.
Often, a draft doesn't have elite QB potential in it. Don't force the issue.
Andy Benoit disagrees with you erod. Hey.. Don't shoot the messenger.
"Jared Goff projects to stardom."

Bottom line? Franchise QBs are rare with an average of 1 being drafted every year,,, usually in the first round. Wilson, Brady, Osweiler,Taylor and Carr are the only non-first rounders starting in this league I'd be happy with starting here. Even more rare are top 10 QBs that get away from the teams that drafted them. You want a top 10 QB? You've got to draft him, and odds are he's going to be a first rounder. Drafting this high I'd rather take a safer pick unless the coaches really like one of those top 2 QBs,,, or even trade back and take Wentz,,,
