For the Milton haters. You don't know QB

Milton looked great last night, but Cowboys fans have got to stop anointing everyone who looks good in a pre season game as the next big thing.
Yeah, if one wants to have any thoughts about preseason, it should be about how their skills will translate to the NFL.

Dak is out next week.

You're playing the fully healthy Seattle defense.

What QB are you starting?

That's what is going through Shotty's mind right now.

I think you gotta keep them both.

It's his progression. It's not about looking good in preseason. And no one is saying he is the next big thing either.

Milton had haters?
Not haters, but last year he was probably the worst quarterback I've ever seen for the Cowboys. He sprayed balls everywhere at 100 mph with zero accuracy and no clue what he was doing.

He looks much more comfortable now. He's worked on this with Shotty, you can tell. His feet are set and he's reeled in that cannon for the most part.

Milton had haters?
Yes. Everyone has haters. ha. haha. HAHAHAHAHAHA!

I say let Joe play Week 1 and see what we have. I put next to nothing into pre-season games. The Giants stink; it should be a layup
Yeah, if the game is already out of reach. No team puts in their backup to a QB that was top 10 in nearly every category the prior year and is considered the franchise QB "just to see what they have" in a regular season game. No team is a slam dunk, especially division teams, and every regular season game is a must win until the remaining games don't have an impact on playoff seeding.

Nah, according to many on here, he's the future. The only way to know is to give him a game against an ugly stepsister in the East. No better candidate, lol. Is it Week 1, yet?

I’ll be the first to admit that I was completely wrong. I’ll say this…Dak better not get hurt. Because if Milton finds his way on the field this year, you might see another 2016 situation. And if it were me, I’m going with the youth, athleticism and arm talent. But I realize this isn’t 2016 Romo with a bad back. Not QB controversy territory yet, but no way Milton doesn’t end up starting somewhere in 2027.

Maybe they only hate Milton because he could become a threat to their hero.... I think it would be quite funny if 2016 repeated itself and Dak was benched in favor of Milton. Epic meltdowns if that were to happen
Like how you hate Dak for taking your hero's job?

HOOAH! *salutes*

Go Pokes!
Settle down, grandpa. I don't think anyone here "hates" Joe. No doubt he's playing very well with and against the 2nd and 3rd stringers. He has every tool in the box to be a good QB, but accuracy. But so far so good. If he lives up to his potential it's a win-win for us.

I get Doug Williams vibes big-time watching him. Same arm, awareness, and wheels. Now he's got the accuracy. He's dangerous. Could he replace Dak at some point?
I'm thinking more poor man's Michael Vick. He's bigger than Vick, but not faster...but a very good runner. He also has Vick's legendary strong arm and long wind up.

I'm stoked...I think I'm no longer a hater now. I'm seeing Milton with rose-colored glasses lol.

Milton was really good. He was the only player that Cardinal broadcast announced that played for Dallas. I don't know who was in the game on defense. I hope the next game is a dallas broadcast.
Right? Those Cardinals tools were unnnn-bearable.

Told you Cowboybish Milton will be a starter, and hopefully for the Pokes. qb rating over 151 last night 2 te passes and a td run. He man is a baller with unusual talents throwing and running. Now that there is a coaching staff in place, the sky is the limit. You all wrong about Shelton also. He will be a long term starter as well. Go Pokes!

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m completely shocked with Milton. I watched his play at UT (that would be TN). It was horrifically bad. He had zero accuracy and was considered a huge flop by most of the college fans. Sure, he could throw an orange about 120 yards, but would miss receivers more times than not. His change and improvement has been shocking.
