Thank you. I already knew the story but I appreciate you sharing it for those that think hes just garbage because it didn't work in Seattle.

People are acting like we are making his history and potential up. We are excited because we got a 2nd round talent for a 7th round pick. Just like RGregory, LCollins, RMcClain and RLeary.

Well you know teams aren't gonna respect Weeden's arm, so if CMike is in the game, they'll prob commit more to stacking the box. Until Weeden proves he can move the ball consistently.

Given the tweet Idgit posted earlier, it looks to me like their viewpoints are evolving.

Both Broaddus and Fisher said that was pre practice drills. So nope no changing view points visible yet.

I want what is best for this team. Right now the coaches seem to feel it's not Michael. If that changes I'll embrace the change. Until then its nothing but noise.

Ryan was a chronic walking mash unit.

Michael is a young former high draft pick that is eager for a second chance in a system that will give him a real chance to get on the field.

No comparison.. jmo

They were both drafted in the second round. Are you making this stuff up as you go?

Michael was drafted in the same tier that saw Eddie Lacy, Leveon Bell and Montee Ball go.

He was blocked by Beast Mode in SEA, nothing else.

Now they resigned Lynch, got his BFF FJackson as insurance and traded out 4 years of Rawls for 2 years of CMike.

There was almost nothing CMike could have done to change his situation.

You can't possibly believe any of this. Wait, let's go through this one-by-one.

He was blocked by Beast Mode in SEA, nothing else.

Nothing else except for Robert Turbin, Fred Jackson, and Thomas Rawls, a rookie UDFA. And now he's being blocked by Randle, McFadden, and Dunbar.

In his third year in the league, Christine Michael has been blocked by SEVEN different running backs. What does the word "nothing" mean to you?

Now they resigned Lynch, got his BFF FJackson as insurance and traded out 4 years of Rawls for 2 years of CMike.

You honestly believe that NFL teams prefer four years of a rookie UDFA to two years of their own second round pick? That's like saying Dallas would rather have four years of Ben Gardner than two years of Randy Gregory. This statement is literally so idiotic that it makes my head hurt.

And Fred Jackson = insurance, but Michael = ??? Why couldn't Michael be the insurance? He still had half of his rookie contract left.

There was almost nothing CMike could have done to change his situation.

Except, you know, actually beat out one of those running backs and crack the rotation. I'm sure it's all just some elaborate conspiracy, though.

First off, calm down.

B- I wouldn't type it if I didn't believe it.

Last, what part of Marshawn Lynch don't you get. CMike was not going to play. He wasn't beat out, it is just a numbers game.

it blows my mind that these players can get to this level and have issues catching the ball, it must be mental or laziness because I cant see how hitting the jugs machine with footballs and tennis balls daily would rapidly increase your catching ability

Most likely lack of concentration and fear of getting knocked out. I'm willing to bet they can catch all the balls when they know there aren't anyone near by to take their head off.

That's what separates men from boys.

You think they drafted him in the second round with the conscious plan to never play him? If he were anywhere near as good as Beast Mode, he would be sharing reps in Seattle right now and we would all be talking about how amazing it would be if we could trade our first round pick next year for Christine Michael.

Seriously, I can't believe you guys are still repeating these absurd arguments. I figured the excitement would have died down after a week or so and reality would finally sink in.

Beat out assumes there was a competition.

They didn't think they were going to re-up Beast Mode. They did. Game over for CMike and Turbin.

It would be just as absurd to trade for him and not play him.

Not really. Pretty sure the wording of the trade is if we don't activate him for 3 games we trade the Seahawks nothing. Seems to me like a cheap insurance policy with some potential upside.

If he can't beat out Randle and DMC truly stinks. But give him some game reps with the first team studs.

I, personally, couldn't care any less what Seattle does. I don't recall owning any 12th man gear.

Well thats fine, the facts are he could not beat turbin out to be the Lynch's back-up, he couldn't beat Fred Jackson out to be the back up and he couldn't beat Rawls out to be the 3rd back on the roster. He like the rest of the backs on the team have warts he has a skill none of the others have but all the rumor mill, reports, fan sites say he has multiple issues, ball security, pass blocking, and knowing the plays. I am sure his tweet early in TC also did not endear himself with his team mates.

Your right they thought so much of him they signed a 34 year old running back to be Lynch's back up and deciding that UDFA showed as much as he has. If the kid was as good as "everyone" thinks he is all he had to do was beat out a UDFA for the 3rd spot but at best it was a tie and Seattle decided that a tie goes to the rookie or at worst Rawls made him look expendable. No one expected him to beat out Beastmode but he should have slid into the #2 role but something made seattle go outside the organization for a RB on his last legs.

Wow. So much hatred towards a guy that can potentially fit a very important short yardage role for our team. I find that incredibly sad. Let's just give him no chance. Let's roll with the underwhelming combination of our current rbbc. What a load of you know what. If our plan was so sound running the ball, our coaching staff would have never gone out and obtained an insurance policy. Some of you are just burnt because all along you were so sure no other rbs would be brought in. Well... the coaches did what many of us knew they would do. They kept their options open. Now they are working him into the offense slowly and making sure he's both schooled and read when needed. It was a great move by the FO. Why the hatred? Did he steal your lunch money when y'all were kids or something?

The guy is a Dallas Cowboy now and he has been nothing but a model citizen since coming here. His head has been down and his actions have deliberately been geared towards embracing his second opportunity. Last time I checked, most of you typically rally around a situation of this nature.

So he is perfect in all aspects but the Seahawks gave up a 2nd round pick for next to nothing.

MartyB overcame his mental makeup issues but that does not mean he didn't have them. I see C-Mike's issues as similar to MartyB's issues when he was here.

Not quite as bad or immature

Question. Why wasn't Michael the #2 running back in Seattle? Why was he expendable to trade *IF* he is really as good as you think he is?

As much as you want to, you cannot justify what happen to Michael except to say. Seattle didn't believe he had what it took to be their #1, #2, or #3 running back, so they traded him away.

Clearly, he is not as good as you seem to think. While he may have the physical ability, he lacks what it takes upstairs. Otherwise, Seattle never would have traded him to keep UDFA RB and an old has-been RB to fill their #2 and #3 running back roster spots.

So then you should also see what MartyB did when he went to the NYG & then Chicago. Second chances.... It worked for MartyB & we should at least give Michael the benefit of the doubt before just writing him off as a has been that never worked in Seattle. Dude is just starting his 3rd year in the NFL...

Bennett had his first really good year last year. It took him seven years. Roster spots are far too valuable to let someone's maturation take place over seven years. Besides, Michael is a running back. They should develop a lot faster than a pass catcher.

Ok. So you don't like CM. I think we get it now.
