lol, man you aint kidding, reading people talk about Ryan Williams here, you would think they were stashing a 1st ballot hall of famer on the practice squad

I always said Ryan Williams was a wasted roster spot. As a matter of fact, when news broke that he was gone I wished him farewell with a nice "bye felicia". Feel free to use the search button and lmk what you find.

This situation is so far from any comparison to Ryan Williams.

If you had read anything we've already discussed, most of us are of the believe that he should get McFadden's snaps.... So, contrary to some that believe every action that cones out of Seattle and feel he is just bench fodder, he will get his chance soon.

Yes I've read. Didn't know CMike was working with 1st team.

Butler has the speed but his hands are supposedly inconsistent .

it blows my mind that these players can get to this level and have issues catching the ball, it must be mental or laziness because I cant see how hitting the jugs machine with footballs and tennis balls daily would rapidly increase your catching ability

The only two of those that wouldn't apply to Ryan Williams are "healthy" and "thumper."

They're giving him some work there. That's about it. Nothing has come from the FO so, as far as I'm concerned, it's just more of the coaching staff trying to see what it looks like in practice with him in there. I hope it does mean they'll take that curiosity to real game situations.

Ryan was a chronic walking mash unit.

Michael is a young former high draft pick that is eager for a second chance in a system that will give him a real chance to get on the field.

No comparison.. jmo

I wasn't calling you out, I don't remember who all was proclaiming Ryan's potential greatness but there were many.

In regard to Michaels, the way the team has been doing things lately makes me believe he has some issue that is preventing him from being on the game day roster and I place more faith in that than whomever thinks otherwise

Having said that, my hopes are high he can work his way into games and break out because I miss the toughness Murray brought

the similarity is how some folks on the board are pumping Michael up

FWIW, I hope they're right

I think the issues preventing him from being on the GameDay roster to this point have simply been knowledge of the system, tendencies, audibles, blocking assignments, and, most importantly, gaining the trust of the coaches. I just don't think he far away from getting that chance. I'm sure he has taken the Dallas Cowboys playbook crash course for dummies in the short time he has been with us. Like they say, it's a process...lol

That is very similar except for the health issue.

Just swap health for mental makeup issues.

My suspicion is this....

Michael is an A type personality. He is arrogant and can back it up with his running style. Garrett is a team first guy and he preaches it in his sleep. I think this is Garrett’s way of humbling Michael while also keeping that A type personality chained up only to release it at the right moment and completely wreck some future opponent's day. By making him wait, they are instilling a bit of the team philosophy in Michael and making him a Cowboy. When he scores that 1st TD, instead of the A type thinking self 1st, he will be all over his olinemen celebrating with them because the transformation will have been completed.

Michael was drafted in the same tier that saw Eddie Lacy, Leveon Bell and Montee Ball go.

He was blocked by Beast Mode in SEA, nothing else.

Now they resigned Lynch, got his BFF FJackson as insurance and traded out 4 years of Rawls for 2 years of CMike.

There was almost nothing CMike could have done to change his situation.

Thank you. I already knew the story but I appreciate you sharing it for those that think hes just garbage because it didn't work in Seattle.

The "mental makeup" stuff is overblown heresay. It sells newspapers.

So he is perfect in all aspects but the Seahawks gave up a 2nd round pick for next to nothing.

MartyB overcame his mental makeup issues but that does not mean he didn't have them. I see C-Mike's issues as similar to MartyB's issues when he was here.

So then you should also see what MartyB did when he went to the NYG & then Chicago. Second chances.... It worked for MartyB & we should at least give Michael the benefit of the doubt before just writing him off as a has been that never worked in Seattle. Dude is just starting his 3rd year in the NFL...
