I haven't even seen him in pass protection in 2 games so far so whats the big deal?
I'm not sure where some of you guys are getting your analysis of Christine Michael. This is his third year in the league.. two full years under his belt in a crowded Seattle backfield...... As I have always stated, I give rooks 3 years before I start considering them anything other than a young player adjusting to the NFL level.
He hasn't been active.
Please sell me on this guy.
Lets see Seattle loses Turbin to an ankle injury, instead of staying in house with "all world" RB Michael, they go and sign 34 year old Fred Jackson, keep their UDFA rb Rawls, and decide to let Michael come to Dallas for a conditional pick. He was inactive for 10 games last year.
What is everyone so afraid of? That they might be wrong and someone better than Randle or DMC was available.
Just give him a real chance to show what he's got. I think most fans will be pleasantly surprised.
This board goes overboard sometimes with the 'next guy' but they are also right a bunch of times as well.
Worst case is he steals 10-15 carries from the RBBC.

Until this week, I've been afraid that a blown protection would sideline Tony Romo, or that un-careful ball control could cost us a close divisional game.
I'm less worried about Weeden going down for the season for some reason, and I think the potential for a harder-nosed running game might offset the turnover issue (especially since Randle's hasn't been particularly good at holding onto the ball as a pro to-date). I'd be looking at playing Michael this week or next and sitting Randle or McFadden to do it. Probably McFadden.
Step out of the bubble wrap and take a chance. Randle and DMC aren't world beaters.
I feel like you're not reading that post you quoted in its entirety, as I said I'd be willing to take the chance. But the idea of putting him in there with Romo when his pass protection is reportedly so inconsistent and after just one or two weeks on the roster is stupid. The team did the right thing giving him time to acclimate and using the practice reps to evaluate how he's coming along. A franchise QB is gold. A guy who runs the ball a bit better than the guys you already have is not really worth all that much in terms of winning football games.

I read it as you were worried about pass protection with Romo in there, but now that Weeds is in there you don't care anymore! Sound about right?

I would love to but there are a lot of question marks concerning what is going on upstairs in his head.
All the reports (local sports talk/cowboys updates) say the guy is the real deal as a RB. The challenge is, though, whether he can carry out the daily responsibilities required of a professional football player.
There are too many quotes from insiders concerning his lack of focus, inability to learn the playbook, and desire to be a great football player. Those are some serious red flags.
