For the life of me, I will never understand this rationale. Randle has been a Dallas Cowboy for years. Christine Michael has been a Dallas Cowboy for a few weeks. How much are you expecting him to have already done? I look forward to your keen insight.

Regarding Randle, He did alright but he left some meat on the bone too... especially at the goal line.

Is Randle better than DeMarco? No. That's why Randle wasn't the starter until this year. That rational enough?

I generally like you're insight. You're an eloquent guy with good takes. This time however, I can't but just put in in the "grass is greener" or "new toy" category with everyone else. There is absolutely no evidence to suggest Michael is any better than Randle. None. However, what we do have is a team letting a 2nd round pick walk for a 7th, a guy who is atrocious picking up the blitz and a guy who couldn't make it as a knucklehead with a coach who adores guys with personality. Randle is clearly not the future o the Dallas Cowboys at running back, he is the best option on the roster right now though.

Michael could eventually topple Randle from the depth chart, but it won't be until he can pass block and knows the playbook. My guess, as I have stated several times, is he gets McFadden's carries. Not Randle's.

Where does everyone else earn it? At practice. You know, like Garrett says. String together good days. You put more good days together than Randle and you will be starting in place of Randle. Garrett has made it clear. The best person will play. The people here on this board have absolutely zero insight into whether Christine is better than Randle, but Jason Garrett and his staff do and guess what. Christine has been inactive for the games.

I think some people may still be remiss about the way other coaches have refused to bump a veteran for a more talented, younger or newer player. Garrett has shown for years that is not his imo. I think it's about time more people trust the coaches evaluations. They're not always right and definitely not removed from questioning, but in situations like this a fans desire to see a newer player isn't quite as significant as the coaches reluctance to play them.

But some fans will never believe it or admit it. They just do not like these RBs. They can each have multiple 100 yard games and still want a change.
Same for Weeden, he can go out and be 18-25, 275 yards, 3 TD's but 1 int. they will harp on the int and want to bench him in favor of an unproven QB in Moore.

Or claim it was a lucky performance. Or that the RBs will come,up injured. So get them out of there now.

Thanks man. I have a mutual appreciation for your takes. I'm not saying Michael is better than Randle or DMC. I'm saying get him on thr field to prove he belongs. Neither of our two top RBs fill the role that he can potentially fill. That's short yardage chain mover.

Having him in there in short yardage situations "potentially" balances our offense again and gets us away from teams keying on the pass. It makes them have to play honest because we might actually run it up the gut and dare them to stop it.

Funny thing is, no one knows either way. For all we know, there could be a surprise roster change before game time to completely throw the Falcons off. No one here is saying they know anything. I do, however, scoff at any notion that he's garbage just because they gave him up. A change of scenery often serves players well and this guy hasn't even finished three seasons at the NFL level yet. I'll reserve judgment on his worth until I see him in action in OUR system. Screw the Seahawks. I thank them for giving us an opportunity to perhaps do what they couldn't do.

Randle has proven that he can be serviceable. We need that change of pace thumper that will take us from finesse to power in a flash by one substitution thereby throwing the defense completely off and creating opportunities for points.

Randle has the exact same history as CMike. If they were both FAs who would you sign?

Randle is only the starter because he was here before anyone else. He hasn't earned anything either.

All we are asking for is a chance to see what CMike can do. It will take 10 carries from DMC and give them to CMIke.
