From the Iggs newspaper today. They think we are running Zeke into the ground and they love it

But the part of beating a RB into the ground too early isn't a concept that Kempski invented. RBs have the shortest career span in the NFL. It's not a shock that many agree with that part.

That's the nature of the position, not some keen observation. Chip Kelly's Eagles made a ridiculous investment in an effort to emulate the successful ground games like Dallas has. Spent big on Demarco Murray and Ryan Matthews to go along with Sproles. And it blew up in his face.

And since they lost McCoy and don't have a marquee back, clowns like Klempski will say anything to downplay that fact.

Dallas invested heavily in their offensive line and in Zeke Elliott. To turn around and not use those investments for fear or overusing them is as dumb as Jimmy freakin' Klempski.

I agree. I think it’s fair to criticize the Cowboys for selecting a running back that high…but that is not a new concept either. But now that they have, it’s hard to criticize them for using that resource often.

It will be interesting to see if the Cowboys give Zeke a big 2nd contract down the road. Some may feel it would be wise not to that...Even if he is still producing in his fifth season. But all that stuff is down the road.

And Klempski wants to have it both ways. And he fails at both. He tried to give Dallas' 2016 draft a 'D'. I guess that stands for "dunce" which is what the guy truly is.

And now that Dallas has Elliott - the current reigning league-leading rusher, he tries in vain to find something else to criticize.

Exactly. It's all down the road. A moot point less than a year and a half into his career.

But there's absolutely nothing "dumb" about using your investment. I'm sure he's not saying they should sit Wentz for fear of "overusing" him or risking him to injury.

The guy is a hack and anyone who reads his stuff should rethink it.

They’re right. It’s the main reason a lot of us didn’t want a running back at #4. He’ll be pretty used up by the time his rookie contract is over instead of a 10-12 year foundational piece like Ramsey or Bosa.

Used up? did you say that about Emmitt? AP seems to be fine... I think labeling someone used up is a bit of a stretch... Bosa could be a total bust or suffer a major injury that will make him a JAG player. Ramsey has the benefit of a solid defense right now. Zeke is working with a new RT, and a new OG. Context is needed here

I bet Zeke will be still running strong by 26 and will get his 2nd contract

Yes it is. But the 2nd contract will be enormous if he plays well during the duration on the first. Basically comes down to paying a lot more for what will more than likely be declining production.

IE, the Demarco Murray approach.

Who says it will be declining? Not a single person can say that indefinitely.

what a dumb statement about if he had taken the suspension from the beginning it would now be over. well no duhhh! it’s not the games of suspension that’s important. it’s him being labeled a women beater. this goes beyond football.
You are absolutely right. Some fans just care about what affects them. What would that guy do if it was him and he was being labeled a woman beater? Would he just take a plea bargain if he didn't do it? So ridiculous

No, he's pretty much running himself into the ground.

Players get injuries... His hammy will heal

Yes, but would Cowboys fans be happy with 800 yard seasons from Zeke during his larger contract years? Look, this is just basic football stuff. I would say the same if it were an Eagles RB we were discussing. I'd be reluctant for them to spend a lot on the position for an older player. It may sound harsh, but for running backs it is often out with the old and in with the new.

No you wouldn't. You'd pose as a Cowboys fan and tell us how the Eagles RB farts gold. You know like everything else your corny, lying butt has done on this forum.
