I think that is the biggest thing. There was plenty of action but it just was not as good as the show before it and if they follow the book and do what I HOPE they do in the finale, it will not be as good as the next episode.

I thought it was good in that it was almost the culmination of a story line that's been like 4 seasons in the making. The army that we've heard about ad nauseum is finally making its move, even if we only get a glimpse. It's almost a sense of relief lol

Im not going to read the comments because someone always gives too much away but episode 9 was incredible and directed perfectly.

The shot where they panned around castle black and showed everyone fighting was great. The Giants and wooly mammoths were awesome.

I just loved this episode. It could've been a movie in itself.

I thought it was kind of corny how Ygrittes character went out but overall that was a great episode.

am i the only one who likes to go watch the first episodes of game of thrones...and remember the good times...you know when Bran could still walk, Jamie was using two hands to do illegitimate things to his sister, Ned and all his kids were aliive and together...oh so many memories...oh good times...good times...

It just wasn't as deep or thought provoking as what I have come to expect from a GOT episode. I watched it three times and it didn't change my opinion. I guess it was because there was no surprises.

Ah, that makes sense. Me, I like the action stuff when it's done well, and they did a pretty decent job of it.

Well, just finished all episodes in just over a week. All I can say is........WOW! Glad I decided to finally watch them.

If Daenerys Targaryen is killed off, I will be extremely pissed. Also, the young, punk King should have had a more extreme and suffering death.

Knowing you are dying at your wedding with your entire family there seems like a pretty extreme way to go IMO...

I've never done it before, but time to drop HBO until next season. haha
They do some outstanding work, but so many of their other shows now have too many political undertones these days. I know, that's my problem, not theirs.

They have more viewers/ratings than any HBO series ever (inlcuding the Sopranos)...they are not going to kill that cash cow now. In other words...they will keep going.

Believe I read they will start shooting this July for the next season.

Word in April was that both season 5 and 6 have been given the green light.

The previews for their new show (the leftovers) look interesting. I think it starts at the end of June. I'll give it a try and cancel if I don't like it.
