I know. Let's spend our two number ones for a top ten draft choice, say number eight, and draft us another strong safety for millions a year then sit him on passing downs. That's sounds great doesn't it. Then we'd have two great strong safeties on our team.

Get a life. When Roy starts playing like he did his first couple of years then I'll jump back on the bandwagon. Until then I'll treat him like any other average safety. Actually he's above average but his inability to cover has put a bullseye on him. Just as fairly as any other 'star' player who plays beneath expectations.

Now because I've dared to say the truth....Roy is a liability in coverage...I am a Roy hater, basher, can't appreciate the fact we are 11-1, yada yada yada.

I've been a Cowboys fan since 1964 and love this team as much as any fan. However, a rose is a rose yada yada. I don't hate Roy. I hate we spent an 8th round choice on a player who is a liability in coverage to the degree he has to be replaced by players such as Watkins. And I don't like paying that kind of money for a safety that has to ride the bench that much.

We can thank Hamlin for that. He made a weak attempt at grabbing Grant's ankles and then proceeded to knock Roy out of the play.

Actually, they both were out of position. Grant avoided I believe 2 lineman, and a LB before getting to the safeties. That was just a messed up play overall.

They didn't react too slow. It was third-and-1, and they were both crashing toward the line of scrimmage. The problem was that Grant got through a pile-up at the line without even being touched. The safeties see a crowd of people and rush toward it thinking someone has Grant in the middle of that, but instead, he was running full speed right through it.

There's a reason that a lot of short-yardage runs break for long touchdowns.

Coach to safeties: Why didn't one of you guys make a tackle on Grant.

Safeties: look at each other stupidly then....Well you see coach we saw all those people in a pile so we thought we go over there and well you know...pile on and make sure he was tackled good. You know coach. Everyone does it.

In their defense they may have been positioned too close to the LOS by their coaches. That's the only excuse I can think of. Other than the fact Grant is pretty rapid and ran by their collective ***** before they could react.

The front 7 looked awful.

Hamlin comes flying in, goes low gets stepped over and takes out RW.

Big deal... even if RW was in Hamlin's shoes I wouldn't sit here and bad mouth him because of 1 missed tackle.
