I've seen it many times.

The front 7 looked awful.

Hamlin comes flying in, goes low gets stepped over and takes out RW.

Big deal... even if RW was in Hamlin's shoes I wouldn't sit here and bad mouth him because of 1 missed tackle.

Damn... RW gets bashed on for coverage plays and now he gets bashed on for a run play.

You people expect entirely too much out of 1 man.

There are 11 players on the field.
I don't expect much from him at all anymore. but i do expect him to take bad angles like he did on that td. hamlin had nothing to do with Roy not making the tackle

This stuff never gets old.

Roy should have tackled EVERYONE.

All 21 players on the field... and then afterwards he could have hit himself!

it's funny how Hamlin was the main culprit, but he's still going after Roy, like he was supposed to expect Hamlin to take the wrong angle and account for it, redirect, in the whole 5 seconds that he had

No one is bashing him. Neither he or Hamlin or Akin played it well. It is actually a better play by GB and Grant than it is a bad play by anyone. But Roy took a bad angle. As did Hamlin. Grant is fast thru the hole.

This is a "give credit" thread and people are using words like "bad."

Sorry if I thought people were bashing RW and getting off topic.

ryan grant was gonna run right past roy whether hamlin tripped him or not. roy took a bad angle. is it that hard to understand? watch the play and than come back here and tell me roy woulda made the tackle

So RW would have missed the tackle?

I wish I had a "what if" button on my remote control.

Correction... if it was ANYONE else in place of RW this would be a non-issue to the "mob."

But since it was #31 lets bring out the torches and pitch forks.

You're welcome to your opinion. But I'm sorry to disappoint you about Roy. It's his play and nothing else. And Reeves and Hamlin aren't making any Pro Bowls. No one is on Reeves because Roy is worse than him in coverage and again makes millions and was the eighth overall pick. It's not a conspiracy dude. The only one playing well back there on a game to game basis is Newman. The rest are relatively equally poor in coverage.

He has always been somewhat average in coverage.

He always took bad angles.

He is the same guy he has ALWAYS been.

I think its unfair for people to throw him under the bus for being the same exact player he has always been.

Look at it from this perspective:
In Roy's first 2 seasons he was nearly as good a SS as Romo has been a QB in his first 2 seasons.
At least to the point that there was talk of Roy being the best ever at his position by plenty of people who know these things, including Ronnie Lott.
But Roy is simply not the player now that he was then.
And it disappoints everyone who saw his obvious potential.
He could cover WRs, not to mention RBs and TEs, hit everything in sight, and cause receivers to drop balls from just knowing he was around.
So most Roy "bashers" are just people who are disappointed that he has become a player who gets defended with excuses like "well, no other SS can cover so Roy shouldn't be expected to" or "he didn't get beat - it was the scheme" etc.
I'd like to be a Roy fan again but he just isn't the player he was earlier in his career.
I doubt if I, or many others, would be Romo fans if his performance dropped off to the degree Roy's has.

Hamlin has a very good chance of making it this season, whether he deserves it or not.

Then it's utterly amazing that we're No. 1 in the NFL in interceptions, No. 6 in yards allowed per pass, No. 3 in completion percentage allowed and tied for No. 4 in passer rating allowed. Especially when our two best cornerbacks have been hampered by injuries all season (either one or both at a time).

I thought Darren Woodsen was doing that?

cue the footage of Roy with textbook coverage on potential HOF'er Jimmy Smith against JAX his rookie year.
Do you really believe Roy has always played like he has the last 2 seasons?

Roy did have a real nice hit or two last night. Hopefully he'll get back to playing like he did earlier in his career.

I also like how he is being taken out of the game in many obvious passing downs. He is a major liability in those situations.
