If Griffin didn't drop the easy pick six, it could have been a very different ball game.

But Dak played well late, and the scramble won the game. This is not the week to pick on Dak.

But he's got to stop with this 3 bad quarters and 1 great one tendency. The defense can hold everybody every week. He needs to play well throughout.

What is with this relatively new take on football where it's really important to define how much credit a QB gets and doesn't get? I don't know if it has something to do with the fantasy football boom and the obsession about stats but it used to be you cheered for your team to win and didnt give a damn how it was done. If you cheered for the Cowboys and we won you were elated. Now it's like ok we won but hang on let's see how they won and if the QB is praise worthy. If the stats looks good we can celebrate it but if the QB stats were bad then It's only like a 1/2 win.

And it goes on with other fan bases when discussing the Cowboys. For example Eagle fans constantly will praise our oline, running back, defense as if those are safe to praise but will never praise a QB. And if we win you will hear these people say you only won because of your oline and RB and not your QB. Its like those other positions are safe and ok to praise but QB praise is unacceptable. Saw a bit of this in Aikmans heyday with Cowboy haters praising everything around Aikman to somehow diminish Aikman. I was always amused by this as they lavish praise about how amazing the roster is in an effort to diminsh a single guy on it. As a Cowboy fan I always thought it was an odd strategy to throw so much love at a hated rival but the obsession with QB is so strong that it makes praising a hated teams roster worth it if you can knock the QB down a ring or two. Very bizarre times.
It's not a relatively new take. Think back to how much criticism QBs like Danny White got, even though in retrospect, he gets much more credit than he ever did back then.

It just seems like something new, because there are so many football shows talking about the same things over and over again.

It wasn't pretty but it was effective and he did what a leader does, put the team on himself when he needed to make plays. I did not notice him on D when they opened the door to let SEA back in.

It was not a pretty game, mistakes on both sides and poorly officiated but the team did what they had to do and there's not one player on that team not proud of the way Dak gave himself up to get that 1st and goal. That was a total QB sellout and not many of them will do that. But not many of them can do that.

Ya know, he's not a pretty QB, little rough around the edges and doesn't always throw a pretty pass like the Tier 1 QB's but in a street fight game like that one, I'll take him over most of those QB's. That was a nasty game and the word passed quickly among the players that the refs were going to let them play. That's custom made for Carroll and the way he coaches and the Cowboys, led by their physical QB, played that kind of ball right along with them.

We will see a different type of game in LA, mainly because the league has schooled this ref crew on how poorly this last one did, and Dak will have to play more like a QB in a football game instead of a street fight.

tough to say.

there are 47 players on gameday. lets say 50. so everybody accounts for 2% more or less.

Prescott lives by the talent around him but then he plays the most important position. Id say his contribution on this win was around 5%.

Man, I would hate to see sites like this when Danny played, he would too. Few would have called him the best pure passer the Cowboys ever had, as I believe he was. Only Meredith could keep up with him on the deep ball.

What QB would want to come out from under Roger's larger than life shadow? Back then, it wasn't whether the Cowboys would be in the playoffs but how far they would go. Wins like they had against SEA would have been criticized because of the ugly win instead of appreciated for what it is, a win and they're not easy to come by in the playoffs.

Posters can get videos all day long on how good or bad the Cowboys are from a variety of sources, too many I agree with you, and that won't matter one iota. They will still play the games allowing us to make our own observations and few of those guys are more qualified than most of the posters here to do analysis. The sports media is nothing more than a reflection of this forum, it's all point/counterpoint.

Any credit left for the RB that had 170 yards combined?
Absolutely. Ya know it was strange during this game it didn’t look like he had that many yards. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw 137 yards on the ground. But he did stick a foot in the ground on that one run and take it outside and was gone.

It was about 93 yards outside of the 44 yard run so he got most of it in small chunks.

And there's something about that Kay Adams. I can't look away.
That's called the girl when it's mostly guys affect. Kay isn't ugly but she isn't can't look away good looking either. She's a girl I routinely see every day.

How much credit does Dak get? Absolutely none. His lack of effort and inaccuracy was apparent in this game and Dallas won despite Dak. He was bailed out by WRs running good patterns, the run game and the defense.

I'm sorry...who threw those receivers the ball?

Hoping he can have a huge game this week.. the rams aren’t as good against the run so they may throw the sink at us.
