My point was, we dont know if the Browns want Goff. There are people in here assuming:
1-Goff is going to LA
2-Browns wanted Goff and now they know LA will take him so they want to trade out

We dont know who they want. Its all speculation at this point.

On April 14th there was mixed reports about Wentz being the first overall pick. Since then, both Schefter and jason la canfora have both said Rams are leaning to Goff.

Rams have stated they want time to think about this, so this may change before draft day. But this isn't going to be some big secret. Can anyone tell me the last time the first pick in the draft was a surprise?

One of the following scenarios is true:

A - The Rams want Wentz and are trolling the rest of the league.
B- The Rams want Goff and are trolling the rest of the league.

because no way you make that trade to the top of the draft unless you know EXACTLY who you want. The very unlikely 3rd scenario is:

C- The Rams have amazingly high and equal grades on Goff and Wentz and are really "torn" on who to pick.

I agree, I believe they know who they want. But I also believe the Rams wanted these weeks to discuss their decision, only the smart thing to do.

As of right now, I'm going to take NFL insiders words on this. Goff is their man but they will continue to look at Wentz up until the draft.

Who in Dallas do you think is capable of developing a QB? Wade Wilson? Jason Garrett?

If you believe this than you better not spend 2 first round picks on Goff or any college QB. Because they all need to be developed.

considering they were at a place in the draft where they knew that neither would be available, C could be true.

This line of thinking is why the Commanders drafted RG3.
Cousins was drafted much later and is better.
Goff would be the 3rd QB off the board just a year ago.

Yea, you can find Tom Brady in the 6th round, you can find Russell Wilson in the 3rd round, you can find Tony Romo in the undrafted pool and you know what these are called?

Miracles.....................Jerry Jones himself said that finding Romo was a miracle, so you are just thinking a miracle is going to happen again?

And if it is so easy to just draft a franchise QB anywhere, why the hell do teams keep paying a king's ransom to move up? Why do you think that is? Do you think all the teams that do that are just stupid? And why do some teams continue to not have franchise QBs even after years of trying to get one, including using high draft picks on them?

Tennessee drafted Vince Young in the top 5 and Jake Locker just outside the top 10 before drafting Marriotta 2nd overall last year. If it is so easy to find a franchise QB, why did the Titans keeping blowing 1st round picks looking? And they also tried your strategy as well, they drafted Mattenburger late in the draft as well, he flopped also.

So on the 4th try, the Titans landed their franchise QB after blowing 2 very high first rounders and a late rounder on busts. And there are about 1/4 of the teams in the league still looking and doing what the Titans have been doing over the previous years.

If you know a better way to do it and how to identify sure fire franchise QBs, you could be making millions instead of wasting time on a message board.

So you list how many failures there are at teams drafting QB's in the first round in search of the franchise QB......and your solution is to double down on a losing strategy and spend 2 first round picks on 1 prospect.
That sounds like something losing franchises do again and again.

These guys have question marks. This isn't about moving down for Andrew Luck. These guys are not on that level and are not can't miss prospects.

You asked for articles saying "that the Rams are even looking at Wentz" and I gave you multiple articles saying just that.

You got called out so time to eat crow.

Yes, don't bother to read the very links you post on the site. Just the headlines.

Cowboy zone will be fun on draft night. Reminds me of when Johnny football fell to are draft position. Remember how Rich Eison on NFL network was going to lose his mind if we drafted him.

Him and me both. I was literally holding my breath that we didn't hear his name.

This isn't over. I don't believe the Browns want to pick a quarterback.

I think there are trade talks between the Browns and several teams wanting the "other" QB.

Are the Cowboys one of them?

I actually forgot about RGIII being in Cleveland, which does make me question whether Wentz will slide or not.

Maybe Cleveland got RG3 as a backup to their #2 pick overall, or to play until the pick is ready and then backup. Best way to find out is to make them an offer to swap.

Getting a sneaky feeling we like Lynch more than we do Goff.

No evidence. Just a gut feeling.

I can't imagine pro scouts determining that Goff is better than Wentz.

I could see casual fans making that mistake but a Pro scout. Wentz will be a Ram.
