I don't think that's what anyone is arguing against. I don't mind hits like that. I just know there is a rule against it and I'm not going to pretend it doesn't exist and say it was legal.

I love how seabirds hit. It was still an illegal hit. I understand those that say we are missing a killer instinct, but there are rules and the refs screwed that call.

Exactly and also, just to clarify, when I say I don't mind hits like that that doesn't include helmet to helmet, almost spear like hits. It's just unnecessary.

I think people are confusing illegal and dirty. Was it an illegal block, probably. Was it dirty or malicious? No. This is football. Guys get hit hard. There's really no retribution necessary.

Absolutely mind blowing! I tried to give these refs the benefit of the doubt but after seeing how ridiculous that turn of events was, I want them GONE!! All of them!! I have never in my life been more upset than seeing Lee get creamed with an illegal hit, Carter basically love tap Wilson out of bounds, and Carter gets flagged for 15??? Are you kidding me?

And I know when we played football, you EVER did something like that hit on any one of our players, and that guy would have been laid out. This is football! And yet again, NO ONE does anything about it!

THIS!!!! Would it have been a LEGAL hit years ago? Certainly, and I would have said nothing about it. But I can guarantee you in HS ball when I was playing, that would have been legal and he still would have gotten something back for that. It's about having your teams' back.

But in today's NFL, they have changed the rules. So you have by them; ergo, it was a personal foul.

I am sorry but to even discuss this hit to me is questionable. This Block is no way near brutal as Ware decribed it. Tate hasn't even momentum because he had to stop and change direction. Ever second tackle in the NFL is harder. This was just a well timed block.

To me it's also not clear that this is an illegal hit. Tate doesn't lead with his helmet nor does it look like he wants to hit him with his helmet to hurt him. He hits him with his left shoulder and because the hit isn't coming frontal he of course hits Lee with his helmet also. Seems nothing illegal involed to me when i read the rules. The comment by the moderator has no point because none of his mentioned things happend actually in this case.

Lee lost his breath, thats all and thats what he said in the interview after the game. That normal for a hit like this. Even if he is not hit by the helmet.
