I'm really OK with the rule because I understand it's about player safety but some on here are acting as if it's some long standing rule. That rule can't be but a few years old.

Maybe I'm too old school but if my teammate got hit like that, legal or not, I would want to knock the WR's head off RW31 style next time the WR tries to catch a ball.

You're freaking right I would have cheered if one of our guys had of laid a block like that and that's mainly because I'd be so shocked that one of them had it in them to do it. I'm tired of this team being soft. I don't care that he was blocked like that honestly. I care more about the rules being enforced fairly. If it's a rule, it needs to be called.

I'm also more concerned about how we'll pick up opposing QBs before our own teammates.

It wasn't about being hit too hard. It was about being hit in the head and Tate launching himself. If you want to call someone who knows the rules an expert, so be it. But you obviously don't. Educate yourself and stop making a fool of yourself.

Your Duerson reply to my initial statement was off base.

I never mentioned him or implied that i didn't care about player safety. I simply stated that the Tate hit is what football use to be about. So it would be understandable that people were confused about the rule, it's obvious the refs were.
