Hardy admonished by Cowboys for comments about Tom Brady's wife

I find it hilarious when the comments were directed at Brady and his wife, Brady just brushed it off like it was nothing (Because it is nothing), but the media still feels there is a need to be outraged.

"Oh, you're not outraged? Don't worry, we'll be outraged for you!" - That's the media and the PC culture for you.

The interview was funny. Someone also mentioned to Hardy that another QBs wife was hot (maybe Tannehill? not sure) and he said he didn't know about that but he'd chose his next Pro Bowl based on that

I don't think it is a big deal but glad Garrett spoke to him about it. I guess I would rather see players talking about opposing players not their family or wife. Keep it somewhat classy.

Were other teams' players admonished for making comments about Jessica Simpson when she was jinxing Romo?

I agree on talking about opposing players, but Hardy's comments were more complimentary than harmful. We get silly in this country about the things we make a big deal out of.

Hardy is someone who lacks situational awareness or simply doesn't care, which will likely be an ongoing thorn in the side of the Cowboys and NFL who have a brand and image to protect.

“I love seeing Tom Brady. He’s cool,” Hardy said. “Have you seen his wife? I hope she comes to the game; I hope her sister comes to the game, all her friends come to the game. One of my favorite games of the year, guys.”

Wow. As a single man, he wishes for there to be beautiful woman at the game (He implies that since Giselle is pretty and is a Victoria's Secret model, her sister and her coworkers/friends probably are). What an awful thing to say.

So, he wants some hot women to come watch him play and that is a no-no?

Well, the NFL also wants to sell tickets to the ugly women. There are probably more of them (as there are us ugly men) than hot ones ... although the networks' cameras never can seem to find any. Maybe those outraged about Hardy's comment should address that.

As you said those are other players on other teams. I really only care about the Cowboys. I have seen training camp for other teams and the media is small compared to what the Cowboys see. When you say or do things in Dallas they are magnified compared to other teams. I agree this is silly but it reality and that is what Garrett and the organization live with and deal with so of course they will talk to their players when they may say things that create story lines that the team does not want.

Nothing to see here move along. i.e. slow news week.

I don't either. The first time I heard someone question it, I thought I must have missed something.

Dog - you did miss it. I don't know what your viewing habits are but this story has been EVERYWHERE. Christine Brennan wrote a big article in the Washington Post and ESPN jumped on it. From Mike & Mike to First Take to every show on their network including Around The Horn and PTI. This reason story is everywhere and was again today. Hardy is taking a beatin from every media corner in the country..

Then - when he said he was coming out "guns blazing" that led Jerry to say, "Everybody knows guns aren't allowed on and NFL field..." One of the all time Jerry-isms.

Bottom line is this has been a big time national debate for the last 48 hours. It's ridicules and inflammatory and nobody who has commented really, really knows the history of the case but make no mistake - everybody has an opinion on it.

Please tell me Jerry actually said that. If so, he took his trolling game up a notch.

Brady's not going to admit to outrage, not that he has anything to be upset about. His wife is good-looking. He knows that. And he knows that other players know that.

Besides, any "revenge" he needs to extract will be on the field. He's already trying to rewrite the record books because of Deflate Gate. Beware his wrath based on what Hardy has said. He may just throw for five touchdowns and stick it to Hardy that way. :(

Ok so saying that a comment about a super model being hot is not a big deal is not being objective? Saying an attractive woman is attractive is now too extreme for the PC police? Really? It's now makes someone a dope to say that a woman who made her living based on her looks is doing well in that department,

Just out of curiosity, how often do you hear player's talking about another man's wife and her looks?
I too think it's a big ado about nothing, but society is what it is.

Welcome to our human resources training, Mr Hardy. Please select the best answer to the question "why do you enjoy facing Tom Brady?"

A. He is a great competitor and provides the ultimate test for every defense that faces him.

B. It will provide a good measuring stick for our defense.

C. As a professional athlete and competitor, I always want to face the best and Brady is one of the best in the NFL.

D. Have you seen his wife, man?

Greg Hardy: "Hmmmmmmm......."

Karl Malone?

If Hardy's going to talk the talk then he better walk the walk.

After he just signed with the team he made an insensitive comment on Twitter with a 911 reference that pissed off Garrett and Jerry. They were asked about it and both were visibly upset. Now this it's just another distraction. If he plays well in these last 12 games he's going to be looking for a lucrative contract and Jerry won't risk it if stuff like this keeps happening. With all the trouble he's been in he needs to keep his mouth shut the media is looking for anything they can make an issue of with him.

Whatever, my opinion remains unchanged.

Karl Malone is one. But does KM talking about another man's wife make it an often occurrence?

I was merely mentioning another example. I wasn't implying it's a frequent event.

the media is going nuts over this wanting him suspended for his remarks. of course it is to hurt the cowboys even went to interview roger daughter who is a council person in dallas long interview in dallas paper
