Henson-Its time to go

you need to brush up on your comprehension. the article said that he asked to go, not QUOTING him he asked to go.

if you wanna be taken seriously at all, you'll do the same thing you ask of others when it comes to "proof".

we're looking for proof also - not some fool blithering.

The Answer don't care what some hack reporter with a pro Henson agenda says

The Answer don't care what the golden boy Henson himself says

The Answer does however care what the front office says...and until The Answer sees something directly from the ranch he will be inclined to think outside the box....you should really try it sometime.

And this is getting a bit redundant, but who cares about Henson or the 3rd string QB spot anyway. The 3rd Qb holds the clipboard and is inactive most of the season. What we need to focus on is our starter Bledsoe, and his back up the Italian Stallion.

Some of you people are going to be real dissappointed this season when Henson is riding the pine with nothing more than a baseball cap and a bottle of gatorade.

Have you found an article where JJ or BP state that they made Henson go to NFLE yet?

So in other words, a backup.

Bold prediction.

That's behind the scenes type of stuff, why would Parcells or JJ publicly state that even if it were true?

"Yes we sent Henson to to the NFLE because he's a bust and isn't going to make this roster."

If anything they would feed the media fluff and tell them that Henson asked to go there, but guess what they have yet to verify these claims either. Nor have they gave a 'ringing' endorsement that he has a future with this franchise or the NFL....these are just facts, so don't hate The Answer for stating The Truth....

What does that have to do with the price of tea in china?

All I said was that he was playing well and that he was getting better than got hurt. What difference does the league make?

Progress is progress.

The difference is many good 5A players could go straight out of high school and compete in NFLE

All I have to say is that with the quality and the level of credibility and football knowledge that is being shown by posters against Henson, I have changed my mind on Henson...

Yep, instead of being hopeful, I'm now 100% CERTAIN HE'S THE FUTURE AT QB!

HOW? i see everyone saying he needs to step it up, but if all he ever gets is practice, HOW can we know IF he steps it up? bp won't allow them to hit the field during a game, so all this "he must step it up!" is kinda pointless cause he won't be given a chance, so all the henson critics who think he must "step it up" i hope can tell me how he's supposed to do that if he's a

1) long term project
2) not allowed on the field if bledsoe is healthy

are we gonna continue to use training camp rhetoric to finish judging henson?

Well stepping it up right now would be beating Romo for the 2nd string spot.

That's a good enough start for me.

There is no way on God's green earth so much discussion is generated by any other non-starting QB.

Thanks for the thread.......I needed a good laugh. :laugh2:

I'm glad to hear we can forget about Henson, Whew!!!! glad it's finally over....... now if the source was only credible. :(

I think Dallas fans are the greatest on earth. They have to be - the organization is the greatest in sports. But we aren't perfect. We seem to have one semi-important flaw. Its happened from Eddie LeBaron on. We lose our minds when it comes to QB's. Rational thought escapes us. Can't we just say - the guy has some skills, he seems to have knocked off some rust over seas, he might be ready to assume the role of a NFL QB. Not a starter, but a guy who has a little something. If he develops more great, if he doesn't we move on or he becomes a good backup. Why the rush to judgement? He looked good over there. That doesn't guarantee anything. But it takes time to develop a QB under the best of circumstances. Henson hasn't had the best of circumstances. Because of Bledsoe we have time to let this experiment run its course.

difficult task for Henson as he tries to salvage his NFL career.

what NFL career is Henson salvaging again? exaggerating the situation doesn't equate to facts, sorry, and Mroz won't even make the 53 man roster

The Answer don't believe the rhetoric and propaganda, this whole idea of Henson 'asking' to go to Europe is nothing more than a clever facade, likely perpetrated by the sheep that choose roam the already crowded pasture.

well dont' get angry when I trush Henson's word, and the word of the front office over your's

The Answer said:
The Answer's theory is that the Cowboys front office (parcells and Jerry Jones) approached Henson and mandated that he go play in Europe in order to 'audition' for the 3rd QB spot since Romo has the back up job locked up. So why would Henson refuse knowing that he already bombed in the MLB and is in danger of busting in the NFL as we speak. Plus you have to remember that Jones already misfired with Quincy Carter and wasted a 2nd rounder, so by sending Henson there at least it makes it look like the front office still believes in him, despite wasting a 3rd rounder. It's all smoke and mirrors to avoid a media circurs over the issue.

yep, as I thought, no facts

Answer said:
So until The Answer sees verifiable and tangible proof from Jerry Jones or Parcells that they did in fact send him there to be evaluated, or give an endorsement that Henson has a future with this franchise...then The Answer will be inclined to entertain his own theories on the situation.

does Henson have a future in Dallas? yes, I think he does-Bill Parcells, '05

has Henson shown improvement? yes, definitely-Bill Parcells, '06

there's your tangible proof

The Answer said:
Despite my hypothesis, I still believe that Henson will be permitted to hang around the depth charts for at least 2006, that is unless Mroz really makes some noise in camp and/or we sign another veteran.

~The Answer

this constant Mroz nut-hugging is idiotic,he aint making the 53 man roster, noone's expecting anything from him, he's just another live arm for practice

why do we need to care about the backup QB who's going to be gone after the year?

No, most of us people fully expect Henson to be riding the pine this year. Ever heard of Drew Bledsoe?

Someone needs to slap "The Answer" in the face after he made this comment..

"The European league is nothing more than a breeding ground for 3rd string pine riders and other practice squad misfits. You would think that most hardcore Cowboy fans would realize this and move on."

I'd love to have that 3rd string pine riding practice squad misfit Jake Delhomme in Dallas, no?

and the fact that NFLE is nothing more than getting Henson playing time, evidenced by Jerry's comments, it's not make or break, it's not gauging Henson's future as much as it's just a chance for him to get playing time in a live-game atmosphere, something he won't get to accomplish much with Bledsoe as the starter, and Henson having to share 20% of the practice snaps with Romo in TC, which may be increased some since Bledsoe has a year in the system, and see maybe a quarter a 2 for 4 weeks in preseason, how many times that all these things have to be pointed out to Henson haters is beyond me :bang2:

this is all that matters, these are the facts:

  • Parcells says he has seen improvements in Henson's game in NFLE, in which seeing improvement or not over there, being the ultimate deciding factor on Henson's future with the club
  • Jerry alluded to the future QB maybe already being on the roster, which bodes well for Romo too
I don't see anywhere where anyone in the Cowboy's organization is saying that Henson's future prospects look dim, or that it's looking like Henson is on the way out and Romo is staying, as The Cancer and many are suggesting, of course they say, "what else is Dallas going to say, that Henson sucks?", but that's not much to go on, as far as I'm concerned, I'll go with what Bill and Jerry ARE telling us instead of reading between lines that just simply aren't there...

rant over :D
