Hope we don't suffer the Texans fate

I think that the team needs to be careful and on their game. But, then again I don't think that there are a lot of times that can plug in their back up QB and their third string and keep winning like the Pats do.

True. But where is all world JJ Watt....doesn't he win games all by himself. That's what ESPN & NFLN stuffs down us all the time.
Watt is coming off back surgery which made him miss pretty much all of training camp. Might as well expect him to be a ghost on game day til mid-season.

Yeah they weren't overconfident they simply were overmatched. No way around it. They knew even with a third string qb they could lose.
The Texans beat themselves as much as the pats beat them. Put themselves in a hole turning the ball over
But you are right, the Pats are simply a better team

He did alright. Really he had the perfect game to start considering how the Texans got dominated he wasn't asked to make any big plays. The running game with Blount carried the offense.

Ok.

In my opinion he looked great. Did everything they asked him to do, fakes were great and made the throws he had to. Certainly he had help. Did miss that one bomb late, but that was about it for me.

I think this thought that every team gives their best against us, meaning the Cowboys, is highly over-rated. In the NFL, you only have 16 opportunities to win and most if not all teams give their best regardless of who they are playing. I doubt the Commanders effort against the Giants this week is somehow going to be less than when they played the Cowboys last week.

Maybe this was more relevant back in the days when the Cowboys built these dynasty type teams that everyone wanted to knock off, but to be honest, the Cowboys the last 20 years or so have just been your average NFL team.

I disagree. Playing and beating the most popular valuable team in the league is more motivation. Being on national and beating "America's Team" is motivating.

The last twenty years they've had the maximum number of prime time games nearly every year.

Of course, you are entitled to your beliefs too.

Every run went ot the opposite side of the field Watt was lined up on. All passing plays he was double teamed.

I think they know every team gives their absolute best against us. That combined with being on prime time should help us stay focused.

Yes.

We simply cannot let a prepared backup QB take the snap, sit back and survey the field = disadvantage.

We can go all out attack. A back up HAS NOT thoroughly prepared for getting hammered. Heck a aseasoned vet usually can't handle that.

Strong defenses overcome a TON

This a luxury Dallas has not had in about 7 years.
It is probably 80-90%+ of the reason there were three 8-8 seasons in that span

The Pats are genius. Smh... such a beautifully orchestrated game in all three phases. One can only tip their hat.
