Me, too.
You have professed many times that you are very happy with Garrett as our coach. And your signature indicated he is on his way to the hall of fame.

Yes. Funny how that works!!! In most normal situations,Belichick excluded, if a coach doesn't have the players he is not going to win.

He may have struggled but he turned the club around during his time there. I think he had a final season of 11-5..but l may be misremembering.Even Belichick had his struggles in CLE. He learned on the job, though, and is the best coach we've probably ever seen. Then again, he does everything right, no just the player development stuff. He works every edge and gives his team the best chance to succeed. There's a lot of coaches who could learn a lot from BB.
Yep...I think Garrett's a good coach, and this is a message board for discussing such topics.
And/or just making inane observations and using emoticons. It really depends.
Trying to put my finger on it and I think one of the differences in the Pats success from any other team(s)(besides obviously great the coaching) is they have a very strong core of back up or 2nd string players. Amazing how they find these players, many of them FA and bring them back to life. Sure Brady is amazing but you can see they thrive on total team effort and all look motivated to be the guy that makes the next play whether on ST, defense or offense. Their defense is tough as nails.
Dang I wish we could get a little more of that or what ever it is in Dallas.
Its more of a mule or donkey...painted white. In fact, he may be Garrett in disguise...red hair..very suspicious!!
I think 11-5 was his 2nd to last season, and 5-11 followed. He may have struggled but he turned the club around during his time there. I think he had a final season of 11-5..but l may be misremembering.
Yes. I just looked it up. Thanks.I think 11-5 was his 2nd to last season, and 5-11 followed.
Edit: Just googled...5-11 was his record in his last season there.
I agree and Hoyer has had sucess in this league.I think Hoyer might be a better QB with that team than Cutler. Cutler just doesn't have the right mental makeup. Hoyer is much better in that aspect.
Don't worry, the Cowboys haven't invested #1 picks and over a $100 million into their defensive line that couldn't even stop the run, let alone the third string QB in Foxboro. They also don't have an unproven QB that also cost them a ridiculous amount of money that looks just plain average and couldn't generate 1 point.I'm sure many of us watched the Pats/Texans game last night.
It sure seemed to me the Texans were overly confident in that game..
playing a 3rd string QB seemed to have taken them out of the game.
I seems like they bought in to all the media hype about how much trouble the Pats were in.
Guess not.
Hope we don't commit the same mistake against the Bears.
Here's hoping.....
Well what you say has merit, houston lost because their offense couldnt get past the 50 much less score points.short week of preparation for the most difficult team to prepare for, then your qb is erratic and inaccurate and the biggest issue you fumbled two kickoffs and gave them the ball inside the 20 twice. Thats why they lost.
brissett didn't do anything, its kind of funny reading this stuff around the internet this morning. He was like a running back.

Exactamundo!! Could not have said it better.I agree. I've thought about that very thing in the past, and I think the reason that NE is able to bring in these marginal/troubled, etc. players and have them not only stay in step, but actually contribute is because of the atmosphere that BB has created over time. Once he got the locker room up to speed with some good players with strong leadership qualities, he could occasionally bring in the "disgruntled/trouble" player and have them fall right in line because they didn't want to be an outcast. Those players also knew that BB was the man in charge and that he could/would fire their ***** in a heartbeat if they got out of step. It takes a little time and an extremely good coach to get an organization to that point, but it's a thing of beauty when it happens.
Belichick is a defensive guru. He has no equal this era.Well what you say has merit, houston lost because their offense couldnt get past the 50 much less score points.
Houston had been getting passes downfield, and against NE they couldnt do that, and they couldnt or didnt run the ball good or enough.
Bellichek likes to take away whatever the other team does good on offense.
How 'bout this: come all the way up to speed with the discussion, think of a counter-argument that's both interesting and not obviously something that you could swat down yourself by giving just another 30 seconds or so of thought, and then we'll try again, ok?
