Yes. Funny how that works!!! In most normal situations,Belichick excluded, if a coach doesn't have the players he is not going to win.

Even Belichick had his struggles in CLE. He learned on the job, though, and is the best coach we've probably ever seen. Then again, he does everything right, no just the player development stuff. He works every edge and gives his team the best chance to succeed. There's a lot of coaches who could learn a lot from BB.

You have professed many times that you are very happy with Garrett as our coach. And your signature indicated he is on his way to the hall of fame.

How 'bout this: come all the way up to speed with the discussion, think of a counter-argument that's both interesting and not obviously something that you could swat down yourself by giving just another 30 seconds or so of thought, and then we'll try again, ok?

He may have struggled but he turned the club around during his time there. I think he had a final season of 11-5..but l may be misremembering.

Anyone who was looking past the Patriots on the road needs to have their head examined.

Watching the Patriots play is almost like watching another sport than Cowboy games. They have much more talent on defense but is amazing how they seem to contest every pass. They can be beat but it is typically off a perfect pass or catch. They seem not to miss many tackles either. On the other side, it appears Dallas let players get wide open or make easy 10-15 yard passes regularly.

Trying to put my finger on it and I think one of the differences in the Pats success from any other team(s)(besides obviously great the coaching) is they have a very strong core of back up or 2nd string players. Amazing how they find these players, many of them FA and bring them back to life. Sure Brady is amazing but you can see they thrive on total team effort and all look motivated to be the guy that makes the next play whether on ST, defense or offense. Their defense is tough as nails.
Dang I wish we could get a little more of that or what ever it is in Dallas.

I agree. I've thought about that very thing in the past, and I think the reason that NE is able to bring in these marginal/troubled, etc. players and have them not only stay in step, but actually contribute is because of the atmosphere that BB has created over time. Once he got the locker room up to speed with some good players with strong leadership qualities, he could occasionally bring in the "disgruntled/trouble" player and have them fall right in line because they didn't want to be an outcast. Those players also knew that BB was the man in charge and that he could/would fire their ***** in a heartbeat if they got out of step. It takes a little time and an extremely good coach to get an organization to that point, but it's a thing of beauty when it happens.

Its more of a mule or donkey...painted white. In fact, he may be Garrett in disguise...red hair..very suspicious!!

I think its one thing to believe that Garrett isnt as bad as someone like me says he is. There is a shred of possibility that maybe I could possibly sympathize with that angle. But to run to his defense at every turn is over the top embarrassing in my opinion.

I think 11-5 was his 2nd to last season, and 5-11 followed.
Edit: Just googled...5-11 was his record in his last season there.

I think Hoyer might be a better QB with that team than Cutler. Cutler just doesn't have the right mental makeup. Hoyer is much better in that aspect.
I agree and Hoyer has had sucess in this league.

The Bears come having nothing to lose.

For Dallas..thats not the best scenario.

And of course with our home field advantage..

I'm even more concerned.

I'm sure many of us watched the Pats/Texans game last night.

It sure seemed to me the Texans were overly confident in that game..

playing a 3rd string QB seemed to have taken them out of the game.

I seems like they bought in to all the media hype about how much trouble the Pats were in.

Guess not.

Hope we don't commit the same mistake against the Bears.

Here's hoping.....
Don't worry, the Cowboys haven't invested #1 picks and over a $100 million into their defensive line that couldn't even stop the run, let alone the third string QB in Foxboro. They also don't have an unproven QB that also cost them a ridiculous amount of money that looks just plain average and couldn't generate 1 point.

Some have been posting about this being a trap game for the Cowboys and fearing that they won't take Chicago seriously because of all their injuries and playing with a backup QB. Makes you wonder what Cowboys team some of you have been watching. Brian Hoyer is probably licking his lips if he's done any research on the Cowboys defense the past few years knowing that we made Matt Flynn, Josh McCown and Colt McCoy look like future HOF QBs. If the Cowboys aren't ready to play on Sunday Night, Hoyer will have a big game we'll get beat! The Bears are going to have to really STINK and we're going to have to play great for this to end up an easy win for the Cowboys. I'm expecting a tough game like I am with every game we play this season.

short week of preparation for the most difficult team to prepare for, then your qb is erratic and inaccurate and the biggest issue you fumbled two kickoffs and gave them the ball inside the 20 twice. Thats why they lost.

brissett didn't do anything, its kind of funny reading this stuff around the internet this morning. He was like a running back.
Well what you say has merit, houston lost because their offense couldnt get past the 50 much less score points.
Houston had been getting passes downfield, and against NE they couldnt do that, and they couldnt or didnt run the ball good or enough.

Bellichek likes to take away whatever the other team does good on offense.

Belichick is a defensive guru. He has no equal this era.

Pats were swarming causing havoc at the LOS. Pats took out Houstons two best players . Hopkins and Watt.

Garrett is widely considered by most Cowboy fans and most media as a middling coach that stinks on game day and is a puppet. That fact that a few guys like you disagree with popular opinion is a side note.
