How bad do you have to be for the Jets to release you?
He signed for $5M with Bledsoe still playable...He had nothing left last year. But can it hurt?
I don’t think he’s being released for being bad.How bad do you have to be for the Jets to release you?
I think like Collins, Cook would be a PS add that we bring up for games. Don't think we would want to cut anyone for him. Now, that we have signed Collins, we could cut a player like Dakoda Shepley from the PS without blinking.Cowboys realistically only have two roster spots to play with... If they re-sign Wilson and Collins, then there's your two. Who you cutting for a RB who hasn't produced much more than your RB2?
because he went to a team with an excellent young rb who came back from injury much quicker than expected, then the same offense got stalled by its star qb getting hurt so they have not been able to stay on the field with a series of backups. watch some espn manwow went from 4 thousand yard seasons to not even getting 300 yards and stuck as a back up RB. Whats up with that?
I didn’t see him but he was 6th in the league in rushing. He had nothing left last year. But can it hurt?
I figured as much. He was available earlier in the year and they weren’t interested.Reports are we are not interested
We already have Brandon Cooks. Too many Cooks spoils the pot.Dalvin Cook was just released by the Jets and if he has any gas left in the tank, the Cowboys should grab him immediately! One thing the Boys are missing is that big back to move the pile and here could possibly a player to have in the playoffs that can do just that! A New Year's gift laid at the doorstep!!
Can’t hurt for sure. Maybe he would be a little motivated playing for something. He had nothing left last year. But can it hurt?
https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/arti...ws_to_solve_glaring_problem/s1_17313_39755599The Dallas Cowboys have already secured their playoff spot, and if they beat the Washington Commanders on Sunday, they'll be NFC East champions and the NFC's No. 2 seed as well.
That's one reason Dallas should be at the top of Cook's list. The other is that the Cowboys have a dire need for a quality ball-carrier. Their offense has been plenty potent with Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb leading the charge, but the Cowboys have struggled to consistently move the ball on the ground.
Tony Pollard has been a terrific dual-threat in Mike McCarthy's offense, but he's averaging just 4.0 yards per carry. As a team, the Cowboys rank 19th in yards per carry (4.1), and there isn't a running back who has averaged more than Pollard for the Cowboys this season.
Cook could help fill the inside-running role that Ezekiel Elliott held while splitting time with Pollard last season. McCarthy's system also uses a lot of principles of the West Coast offense, for which Cook's running-receiving skill set would be ideal.
Dallas might not be viewed in the same light as Baltimore or San Francisco. However, it will be a tough out in the playoffs if it claims the No. 2 seed and doesn't face a road game until, potentially, the NFC title game. The Cowboys can offer Cook both an immediate on-field opportunity and a realistic shot at reaching Super Bowl LVIII.
