Hurd Couldn't get Separation

Either Crayton, TG, or Hurd is gone. If we don't re-sign Crayton or TG doesn't come back, he could stick around.

But I think we've seen enough of him to know he'll never be a solid #2.

I thought T.O. and Romo rave about Hurd, and think he has all the talent...

Steve Largent couldn't outrun my Grandma but we was always open. A slow, calculating #1 that was very successful. Michael Irvin was like that too, although he was a bit faster than Largent.

Poor Hurd...the guy has been "starting" and playing in the NFL for quite awhile and he still cannot get seperation? All that talent, gone to waste...what a bum!



Look at the eagles! Look at the RedStinks! Hurd would probably be a number 2 on those teams...

he's an undrafted free agent...he's done ok in spots, but he is not a starter and doesnt look like he'll ever be one right now

Whatever happened to the "3 year rule" that always applies to drafted rookies? Does that rule not apply to undrafed RFAs?

Yeah, I should have said "it's very possible" that he's not on the team next season. It all depends on a few different things (Glenn, draft picks, etc.). He's very far from having his spot guaranteed.

You might not have noticed, but the complaints about Hurd have been things that he can't improve, regardless of how hard he works.

That's very different from a QB improving his ability to read defenses and improving his accuracy.

Some people act like it's a given that we'll strike gold on every UDFA.

Many things can be learned, but becoming faster and quicker isn't one of them.

And why does everyone act like he's saying Hurd is the worst player ever? Sam's work ethic is very admirable, and he's tough and a good special teamer. But there's nothing wrong with believing that his lack of speed and quickness will limit his upside.
