Hurd Couldn't get Separation

Either Crayton, TG, or Hurd is gone. If we don't re-sign Crayton or TG doesn't come back, he could stick around.

But I think we've seen enough of him to know he'll never be a solid #2.

I thought T.O. and Romo rave about Hurd, and think he has all the talent...

Exactly... the two are mutually exclusive...

Steve Largent couldn't outrun my Grandma but we was always open. A slow, calculating #1 that was very successful. Michael Irvin was like that too, although he was a bit faster than Largent.

Yes, but did your Grandma have good hands?

Kind of knee jerk dont you think?

seems like you are basing your opinion on 1 game, a game I dont think he played bad anyway

I'm not at all basing it on just one game.

When Sam Hurd not able to get Seperation was the biggest issue in my team's 34-3 victory, man it must be a damn good year to be a Cowboy fan.

Poor Hurd...the guy has been "starting" and playing in the NFL for quite awhile and he still cannot get seperation? All that talent, gone to waste...what a bum!

Look at the eagles! Look at the RedStinks! Hurd would probably be a number 2 on those teams...

Yeah, trash the guy...

he's an undrafted free agent...he's done ok in spots, but he is not a starter and doesnt look like he'll ever be one right now

David

Whatever happened to the "3 year rule" that always applies to drafted rookies? Does that rule not apply to undrafed RFAs?

I doubt you're correct but we can readdress next season sir. ;)
Yeah, I should have said "it's very possible" that he's not on the team next season. It all depends on a few different things (Glenn, draft picks, etc.). He's very far from having his spot guaranteed.

No! Didn't you know that undrafted free agents are automatically busts and just flat out suck!

Let's ask Romo...

You might not have noticed, but the complaints about Hurd have been things that he can't improve, regardless of how hard he works.

That's very different from a QB improving his ability to read defenses and improving his accuracy.

Some people act like it's a given that we'll strike gold on every UDFA.

Complaints from who? You and others?

What about the coaches? Why is he on the team?

And your insinuation that people cannot learn "no matter how hard they try" is just plain silly!

If that were the case then why even try in the first place? Why not just fugget, and go sell cars?

You amaze me sometimes, Counseler! However, perhaps you have that experience of "no matter how hard you try you will never get better"?

Again, the complaints are about things you can't learn. It's not that he can't learn them. It's things that can be improved by learning. Try putting a little more effort into understanding what I'm trying to say.

Many things can be learned, but becoming faster and quicker isn't one of them.

And why does everyone act like he's saying Hurd is the worst player ever? Sam's work ethic is very admirable, and he's tough and a good special teamer. But there's nothing wrong with believing that his lack of speed and quickness will limit his upside.
