Those are all LB's. Is Parsons really a LB? He might be listed as a LB but he is a DE.
Those were all top of the line NFL linebacker known for their toughness as linebackers and leading their teams.
Parsons started out as a linebacker and his rushing ability was developed as did Lawrrence Taylor did with his sack abilities.
The linebacker, where he plays now, he still needs to function with the strengths that demands. Period...as that makes the defense all that it can be.
He's not a defensive end at least until he's no longer able to switch between those duties and rushing.
One can't just up and redefine demands of the position because degrees of use. Two defensive ends start each and every game.
The coaches were emphatic that Parsons was a linebacker!
The OP listed the top of the line and old school versions for what is an excuse to refer to old school. They were dominant linebackers, every one of them!!
