I don't like our draft so far

This is the craziest part. Could have got a dynamic LB and STILL had a decent chance to grab Smith late in the draft. If not, who cares, you ended up with a LB that will contribute earlier than Smith will.

You post as if you know how things were going to happen. Jack went right after our pick. Your certainty that Jaylon would have lasted much longer is based more on blog posts you've read that what actually happened.

You don't like the pick, we get it. Don't pretend you know more than anyone, especially since you called him a "ghost" and equated him to someone in a wheelchair in the thread. We get it, you don't like Jaylon Smith.

Read my entire post before responding. No I'm not "certain", actually post multiple times the risk of him being drafted before our third or fourth pick would have been worth passing on him in the second with another top LB sitting there.

And no I don't like the pick, and since this is the topic of discussion everywhere on this board with the same repetitive posts as mine and since it's fresh, I will continue chiming in. If you don't like it, I don't care. Ignore, respond, don't care. Got it? I'm sure you do.

I stopped at what's the difference between our backs now and Zeke.

Zeke might be better. But if you presume that it's guarantied you are a fool.

McFadden was also drafted 1st round, 4th overall....and posted a much faster 40 time (4.33) at the combine. McFadden was viewed as a sure-thing, elite. Can't miss.

Don't get me wrong...I certainly expect Zeke Elliott will be better, but it's 50-50 the gap between him and what we already have will be substantial.

Though you may not like our draft, one thing I do like is that every player we've drafted is young, very young.

Collins just barely turned 21 and Elliott/Smith will prior to the regular season. I'd prefer this vs. drafting 23/24 year olds.

Doesn't explain how you called him a "ghost" pick, which is ridiculous. Ol sport, I like you chiming in, it's why we are all on here arguing on the internet, no?

He's a top 5 talent (lets no one pretend to be a better civvie scout better than Sturm), and let's give his knee a 90% probability of healing, which as he seems to be running and Doctors way smarter than you or I are liking his recovery, sounds like a good risk.

Ghost pick in 2016, he won't be playing. Anything else you'd like to address?

I don't like the draft so far. yes I think Zeke Elliott is a going to be a good player, but what's the difference between Morris/McFaddena and Zeke? vs. Ramsey and Carr. Instead of Ramsey, Jones, Scandrick DB backfield, we have Carr, Scandrick and Jones.....

Offense gets you to the playoffs. defense wins championships.

take ramsey and one of the DEs or DTs....then we can start to talk a championship team...

and once again....2nd round and huge risk/reward and it hasn't worked out over the past 12 years......

too much upside for you? :)

All the grousing about Ezy E will change after he breaks a long TD. Then another. Then another.

You will be hard pressed to find many here that will say they weren't sure about him when he was drafted. Or dislike him being picked.

Jerry sees this as a multi-year situation. He thinks Romo will be upright in 2017 and maybe 2918.

So he resolves the offense, outside of maybe grabbing another WR and TE.

This gives him options for the rest of this draft and the next one.

Not saying I understand or agree. But the RB will end up being everyone's favorite. RunDMC will be his caddie by mid--season, if not sooner.

and after next year?
youve still got that elite rusher
u just signed one of the best linebackers in the league when he is healthy again
and you just gained a guy who will be a really good 3tech-and if they slide crawford back out to lde then we upgraded 2 spots on the dline (as i wasnt enthalled with crawford as a 3tech,but this way he is an upgrade opposite dlaw over the play we received last year

This is the way the Elliott pick makes sense to me. This year, I don't think it will make much difference, but next year we can let DMC go and still have the production. Elliott may or may not be Emmitt Smith, but he will save money from 2017 thru 2020. After that, we will see what happens.

I like the Smith pick. We need RoMac insurance. If Smith gets healthy, McClain can go.

This was the draft for 2017. Our Dline should look a lot better by then, we will be free of Carr's contract and hopefully we get safety straightened out. With so many Smith's on the team, though, it is gonna be confusing at times.

Why not get a LB'er like Ragland who could actually have an impact this year?
I think this is just FO trying to get another top talent cheaply.
They like getting what they think is a bargain, like gregory and lael.

We passed on derrik henry, and some good DE's and lb's to take him that high.

This was my thought, with the nerve problem, round 2 seems too high to take him there.
they say the nerve isnt damaged, but if it isnt working now, that would be damaged in some way.
It may start working again, but it might not ever be 100 % again.
I can only assume this affects moving the leg as in running or moving around.

If he heals up, in 2017 it may be worth the pick, have to wait and see.

The only way Romo stays upright in 2016 is if we get the running game going. And I'm talking about pushing our will on people, not what McFadden did. Since we couldn't get a QB, this was the best way to go. The only ones who don't like this pick are the ones who keep saying that any scrub can run behind our line.
