If you want to compare a guy in 2021 to guys in the 90's and 70's be my guest but that was not what I was doing. I wasn't even alive when Roger played lol.

There's no need to try and educate him in Cowboys history or try to speak rationally to him. He doesn't care. That's why he's so comfortable throwing champions like Aikman under the bus if he thinks it props up Dak. Where Dak goes he will follow.

I have no problem with new stuff...... but the new crowd seems to be clueless with the "Old guys," that built the league. All these passing records can not be used to compare QBs. its a different game with different rules. But , FACT, ask anyone , not even Cowboys fans about Staubach and it will be clear as day he was in a different league than one Dak Prescott.

We won the NFC East three times with Romo and we won the NFC East three times with Dak. We earned the number one seed with Romo and Dak once. The best season we had with Romo was 12-4. Our best season with Dak was 13-3 which tied a franchise record. We won a franchise record 11 straight games that season. If we beat San Francisco on Sunday Dak’s playoff record will be 2-2. Romo’s playoff record was 2-4. Dak has been the better QB. Romo committed too many costly turnovers during his career and suffered through some bad Dec/Jan early in his career.

Romos teams were much more reliant on him than Daks teams. So the numbers don't tell the full story. Also, I would argue the NFC East was MUCH MUCH better throughout Romos tenure. I think the Eagles and the Giants won Super Bowls while Romo was the QB in Dallas. Not to mention Andy Reid, Tom Coughlin and Joe Gibbs represent a much better coaching lineup for the NFC East as opposed to what we have today.

If Danny White had a ring i'd put him on that level too. I don't care about top 10 rankings or none of that. If you get a ring you are in elite company. Danny White has no SBs but he was the Catch away and a Drew fumble away from one. I’m just saying he’s accomplished WAY more than Dak or Romo. Winning 1 ring with Dak will be joyous to add to the other 4 I’ve watched us win..and a couple of losses..missed 1 win in early 70s. But we are too quick to anoint people these days. Roger was generational. 1 ring won’t make me put him in either as company. Just puts him up a level

BTW I think Mahomes is great more than just for his ring…he’s got a superior skill set than most in the league.

Romo has much better arm talent than Dak...it is not even a conversation. If you think it is...you don't know football. Having said that...arm talent is not the ONLY trait that makes one a great QB...I don't think anybody would claim Joe Montana had elite arm talent and we all know what he represents. I stated what I thought Dak was better at than Romo...and we shall see if those things would allow him to lead this team further than Romo did. I am a Cowboys fan....so I am rooting for Dak as hard as I rooted for Romo.

I just verbatim told you that "arm talent" does not make you a better QB and you reply with "Romo has a much better arm talent than Dak".....like I said I don't care about it. Phillip Rivers, Jay Cutler and Romo all had better arm talent than Eli Manning....yet only one of those guys has a ring....and has TWO of them. "Arm talent" means nothing if when the playoffs come around it disappears.....I rarely hear Romo mentioned among the great "arm talents" around the league......he had a quick release...as does Dak. In regards to his "accuracy"...that's subjective because early in his career i've seen Romo make some of the dumbest passes you could ever make as a quarterback. He shored that up by the time 2014 came around.

Do I think a career backup in Nick Foles is better than Aaron Rodgers......what on earth would possess you to even ask me such a thing? Romo did have a tendency to choke when the pressure mounted. Bigger the moment better the odds of an int. Bigger the game better the odds he would have a poor game. Dak hasn't won anything either but pressure doesn't seem to bother him. He gets a few playoff wins people may start to see him as the better qb. until then about the same

And I get its hard to know members on here because there's so many to keep with....but there's a select few that clearly troll and @MountaineerCowboy is one of them. This guy just a month ago told us the Eagles were going to win the division....then jumped to the Commanders then to the Eagles again....then stopped making predictions after that lol.
