If Schottenheimer Is The Choice Would It Change Your Fandom?

my fandom has been hanging by a very thin thread especially when we signed Dak to that ridiculous contract.

Schottenherimer seems to somehow not only be in the mix, but the betting favorite to be the next head coach.

The guy they didn't have enough faith in to be anything more than an assistant OC to McCarthy.

The guy that if he left Dallas right now would not get any attention at all for an OC job and would probably get demoted to a position coach somewhere IF somebody wanted him.

I can't think of a more "we don't care at all" hire than Schottenheimer. This is basically just a tiny step above Jerry naming Stephen the HC.

He's likely the fall back option if the #KMoore deal doesnt work.

The problem: He's tainted by Big Mike. The offense was broken.

We have to have someone who can fix the offense.

I could see him being OC if we hire a defensive HC. Right now he’s never called plays but has been OC in title. As HC it would be a real head scratcher but it’s Jerry so lol

You got me to thinking how my expectations have changed with the hiring of a new head coach (except Tom Landry, of course) since I adopted Dallas as my favorite NFL team. No one should confuse my rational expectations from my illogical hopes. I have always hoped Santa Claus delivered me and all good Cowboys fans an undefeated season every year, lol.

I quit traveling to games during the Garrett regime.
Been pretty much a ho hum fan since.
Haven't bought a single piece of Cowboys merchandise in 10 years.

Schottenheimer wasn’t the Dallas OC / play caller because of MM who wanted to call plays .Schott was an OC with Seattle . He’s not my first choice but it wouldn’t drive me out as fan no .

Honestly after my whole life being this same crap with the Cowboys I think I'd be tempted to finally push them to my #2 slot and pick a new #1. It would hurt a lot, but this is honestly just beyond pathetic and honestly insulting to the fanbase.
