Well, there is always the expectoration that Romo could win his 2nd career playoff game.

And there is always the expectoration that the TEAM will help him. And, if Romo does ever win a second playoff game, it will be because of anyone else but him.

Sometimes I think that you are trying to confuse me but then I drink a Big Red and I just move on.

What is a Big Red? Do they just sell those down in Farmers Market where you live? Does it have any alcohol in it?

It is a Central Texas big old red soda. It half enough sugar to make Deion Sanders want to tackle receivers. Ever time my annoying neigbor go south I say unto him: "Get me some BR" and he come back smiling like he did something really great for me.

And it is Farmers Branch, not market. Farmers market is where the rich people go to feell all natural and normal. Farmers Branch is a fine city with good people who work 9-hour days now that the farm subsidy checks have gone by the way of good governemtn.

Sorry for the confusion, Mr. GimmieTheBall.

I'm way up here in Utah, and I got a fresh green chile roaster outside smelling up the neighbor hood. I sell them to the poor folks at the Farmers Market, but some don't like it hot. Sorry about your subsidy checks. Oh, yeah, we used to have that big red down in New Mexico. Soda pop...

Are you going to send me that horseshoe that you said you would?

Yes there is a point. Playoffs are crap shoot. Giants won twice with 10-6 and 9-7 records. Ravens won with 10-6. Steelers won with 10-6. Packers won with 10-6.

Just make the playoffs and anything can happen.

Most people know, deep down, that being in the playoffs is always better than not being in the playoffs.

Otherwise, why were people disappointed when the Cowboys lost to the Giants 31-14 in the season finale two seasons ago, and lost 28-18 to the Commanders in last seasons' finale?

With a roaster and Hatch green chiles you could CONTROL THE WORLD!

No soap on the horseshoe. The old gray mare is still to active to get the horseshoe.

I just don't see why we wouldn't forfeit all 16 games each year unless we know with absolute certainty in July we are going to win the SuperBowl.

I mean, what's the point?

Why did I get out of bed this morning? Clearly I am not going to win the lottery.

I hope they cancel the trip to NOLA this weekend. Not even worth the pilot's time to fly the plane.

You would think people would have more hope after watching the championship runs the Giants, Ravens and Packers went on. Nevermind teams like the Cardinals getting to the Super Bowl. But see that's how fans are. They want quick results. They want dominance throughout the season. It doesn't happen. Teams peak in the post season. Will the Cowboys? I have no clue. But I don't think we have a answer yet.

Dallas hasn't shown the ability to get hot like the teams you listed. As pointed out in a previous post, the Cowboys are not that good against teams with winning records. Sure anything can happen, but Dallas has been the team that it is least likely to happen to. Winning a very weak NFCE division with a 8-8 or 9-7 record does nothing to excite me. I have read thread after thread and post after post about this team being different from the last couple of years, yet the reality is that this is an average team with an average record. Actually, this is an average team that has little success against a team with a winning record. They sure have little chance of beating three teams with winning records.

And the season is not over with. What they have failed to prove in the past can't be changed all they can do it try to do it now. I don't know if they will or won't but I sure as heck do not want to see them quit working and trying to get the job done.

Being in the playoffs AND winning is the best.
If you go to the playoffs and are one and out, not only is there disappointment in the unfrozen tundra there is an expectation for a lousier draft pick.
If I could foresee the future and I knew we'd lose the first playoff game, I'd opt to stay home and get a better draft pick. I know, it's kinda sick but also a bit pragmatic. that is how genus minds works.

Im glad someone gets it. Don't get me wrong but I love my boys, I want us to win every game. But I found something out between this year and lat year, we're and ok team. I dunno if Stephan A as got to me or what. Something is always wrong with us each year, either injuries or we cant run the ball or something it's always something. On my blog and even here every game we lose on Monday we make an excuse and the same excuse we make is the same one we use every time we lose. But something is wrong with this team and it aint the owner.

I agree. No doubt there are things that effect a ball club injuries are one and we have had enough of them in recent years but the one thing I think this team continues to lack is the mental toughness to be able to rise to another level when all is on the line. While I do like Garrett that mental toughness has to come from Garrett and through out his staff. I see a lot of good things from this team guys hustle they bust their butt but when things get tight there seems to be a lack of overall mental toughness from this team.

Say we back into the division title. Is there even a point. Our DB's can do jack and our Offense can't capitalize on the turnovers we do get.

You are so right. We should just forfeit the rest of the games. No team has ever won a playoff game or the Super Bowl when facing any sort of adversity. It is fans that think like this that give Cowboys fans a bad reputation.

If you are listening to anything Screaming A Smith says and not ignoring it then I now understand why you started this thread.
