If you are a defensive player, do you target Rodgers' calf?

He's going to grab him and torque his back and rip him to the ground. I've seen him do it. He's a violent guy when he gets to the qb.

and that is with in the rules. If Rodgers goes down he goes down. Do I expect a Cowboy player to do something when Rodgers in on the ground? No and I don't think the coaching staff is teaching guys to try and injure a player. Frankly I don't think GB staff is either.

Not going to target an inured leg, but wouldn't worry about it if it happened to get hit. And I"d want to clobber the guy if he's a sitting duck and can't run.

I don't like dirty play in a football game...but, I have a question.

Did Rodgers calf go out before or after Suh stepped on his calf?

Hopefully they can do better the pathetic Lions DL did against gimpy Rodgers. They never sacked him -- I'm not even sure they hit him once.

;)

Part of that was due to the fact that the Lions didn't do well against the run Vs, Green Bay.

Sure - but he's going to try to do that regardless of who he is playing. He's not targeting a specific area

Before. He suffered the injury against the Buccaneers; left briefly in the Lions game, and returned. Suh stepped on him after he returned.

honesly yes. but rogers, lets face it seem to be a nice guy. i say just hit him as if his calf did not exist, though if it did not exist he would be hopping around.
But we are not Suh. the cowboys repesent more better things than that.
Cowboys i am sure will hit hit as if they did not know about the calf. And that is good enough for me. Play hard, play fair and play with intensity.

go Cowboys. you half achiefed more than I ever espected and for that I salute you.:)

Do you target rodgers calf?

I would. It would definitely be in my mind when tackling him, at the bottom of a pile, whatever the situation may be. I'm not saying do anything that could draw a flag, but between the whistles, go after it. This is nothing mew, guys have been going for romo's back. It's our turn, stakes are too high not to test that calf.

You just play football. I don't think you want to go into a game thinking like that. Get after him yes but target the calf, no.

Doesn't seem like an injury you can target.

But yeah, you always test them a bit on weaknesses.

Chris carter is an idiot, not a great idea to reference him.

This is a part of the game. Ever heard of bounty gate? It happens in more places than just New Orleans, whether you like it or not.

Ever hear of Buddy Ryan?

the key to beating them is to make Rodgers uncomfortable...as others have said, the more you make him run, the more likely he won't be at 100%...thus, send pressure on him and make him run to his left (he does very well on the run going to his right)...

Absolutely not...............I play Rogers the same way I play any QB, I do not target sites of injury on players.............that is total bush league stuff right there.............I don't care if other teams do that, I play straight up.

No, do not target him or his calf.
If they go in thinking this, they may not concentrate on what they should really be doing, the game plan.

Even planning to make him run, may not be all that of a great idea. He can still be dangerous, as what if it is not as bad as they say it is.
Playing mind games.
Play the game the way they normally would play as he would be 100% healthy. Don't get out of what has got you here.

If his calf is going to give out, it will under normal circumstances.

"Sweep the leg"..."But Sensei I can beat this guy"..."I don't want him beat!...Out...of commission..."Get 'em a body baggg...yeaaah!"...just kidding though. Hope Rodgers is ready and raring to go. To be da man, you gotta beat da man!
