i didn't trust bledsoe when we got him, but like many, thought he did well up until a few weeks ago. since then we've all seen regression to what we now have.

not much.

He did do well...but just like in baseball, when a career .250 hitter is batting .320 through June, you know damn well that by the end of the season, his numbers will end up being closer to what he has demonstrated his entire career.

Long drive back from CT.

Hi ya Musie.

Impressions. They have the better team.

Games are won by playmakers. They have more of those than we do.

The O-line was/is awful.

Our D is pretty darn good. But we still don't get enough pressure on the QB.

I'm kinda blown away that we seemed to come out flat, AGAIN.

And the few of us who voted that we didn't trust Bledsoe, in that pool that was posted here a few weeks back, are starting to look pretty smart.

Yours?

From tv the team did not look noticably flat, in fact, they looked psyched up on D and intense enough on O. But offensive execution or lack thereof took it south fast.

My overall impression is that it's a miracle after that first offensive half, the team didn't cave.

But no way is 'that' team with 'that' offense going to any playoffs. The D is just not good enough yet to do that much carrying.

I did love Aaron's return to the Meadowlands, tho. Those were Jints, not Jets fans out there, but I do hope they gave him his due in applause.

:shootme: COLD! and the Giant fans were obnoxiuos. Met some othe Cowboys fans and talked the site up. The offense was flat, going through the motions. My therapist told me to calm down after the game so I am trying to listen :p:

I don't support Henson, I just don't support Bledsoe. Look, don't blame Bledsoe. He is doing the best he can for a player of his age. And it's not we have talent and depth at wide receiver either. However, all of us knew Bledsoe wasn't the answer. Yes, that's a bold assertion but I don't think anyone in here truly trusted Drew Bledsoe. I know a lot of us are "glass is half full people" and others just wanted to support Parcells but no one here can say that they knew without a doubt that Bledsoe was the answer. Cmon guys, he was an aging QB with no mobility who doesn't have an star studded roster of wide receivers.

I don't know that Henson is the answer and I'm not going to act like he is the one ready to take this team to the next level. But why not try? If you took the effort to acquire him then why not play him and develop him? That was my issue with Parcells. If you have a guy like Henson on the roster then we could have started the second half of last season and this season to determine if we have someone who is capable of leading this team. Now, we are going to have to start over unless Bledsoe plays considerably better the rest of this season.

...and I have nothing against the guy...I really don't...I would rather we had gone with a young guy at QB...but I don't detract from what Bledsoe did early this year...

It's just the law of numbers...it was bound to happen that he would play to his level.

i was hoping i was wrong.

we're in the exact same camp, juke. parcells allowing absolutely NO building at qb is frustrating as it can be.

hensen isn't the answer to that game, no nors. but it would be nice to know what the kid can do. we "assume" no play means sucks but when it didn't matter at all last year parcells refused to allow either kid to get some snaps to see what we MAY have.

and here we are.

Does this mean he won't have a 120 rating at the end of the year? Damn, who would have thought? Well, he had done one thing this year, he's climbed to three games over .500 for his career. Lol.

Nors...I'm not suggesting Henson is the "answer".

But..take a look at three season of qb's with Parcells...add up the numbers and average them out...and I'll guarantee, they'll look similar to the numbers of a rookie QB.

Take a look at the game planning for these past three years...and I guarantee ya, if you didn't know who was starting at QB, you'd think the game plans were being set for a rookie.

That said, why not start a young guy...I'd gladly take a look at Romo too...

Parcells wasn't kidding when he said, "I'm too old to lose"

I was hoping it was a motivational ploy...

It wasn't.

He overvalues any player who's played for him before (especially at QB). That's mistake number one.

And he undervalues the impact of playmakers on offense.

I've been sayin it for three years...he runs an offense that would have worked very nicely in the Central Division of the NFC, circa 1970 :D
