You enjoy posters that agree with you.If your a homer then you should care more about the team than the player. And having a rose outlook doesn’t mean you don’t give up. nothing wrong with being accurate and realistic. For me I enjoy posters that get things right. Show they understand the game. make me see things in a different way.
I didnt say anything to mods. But thanks for quoting it eith another personal attack to make it more obvious what you do.Crying to the mods now?

Then who are you asking? The Pope?Is this allowed here?
Anyone. If the pope belongs here hes welcome to reply! I bet hes civil. Unlike some. Then who are you asking? The Pope?
Not all Homers are optimistic. But we can be hopeful while being apathetic and critical. Can't help myself....I'm just optimistic and I don't get discouraged because I understand how hard it is to win....I will say this, it's fun trying and not giving up! Salud, homers and haters! We're all fans...Go Dak and Jerry! Lol!
I'm a Cowboys fans, I feel that the much hated Jerry and son have done a good job this offseason...I'm looking forward to the draft and bringing on another stud. I'm sure this thread will be moved or deleted..but, it's a slow time!
He’s definitely more civil even though he’s disappointed in the habitual haters.Anyone. If the pope belongs here hes welcome to reply! I bet hes civil. Unlike some.
You got that right. Theres s lotta hate round these parts. He’s definitely more civil even though he’s disappointed in the habitual haters.
Is a habitual hater kinda like a grumpy husband or wife who complains about everything but is still there committed to the marriage ?He’s definitely more civil even though he’s disappointed in the habitual haters.
Blah, blah, blah, blah, Jerry sucks, blah, blah, Dak sucks, blah, blah, blah, blah, McCarthy sucks, blah, blah, blah, blah.My definition of homer is a fan that chooses to ignore the warts and strictly argues for optimism and positive thinking regardless of how it really looks.
This entire homer v hater has been overplayed into the ground and represents a small minority of the members here and I would not say that haters are all fans.
I will root for my team but I will also acknowledge the warts that are there on any player and the team as a whole.
I am like the parent that realizes my child is not the best or brightest but he/she is still my child and I will love it unconditionally.
Basically I think most of us here are all Homers . My definition of a Homer is anyone who continues rooting on and cheering for your team despite how much they struggle or suk.My definition of homer is a fan that chooses to ignore the warts and strictly argues for optimism and positive thinking regardless of how it really looks.

A plethora of it.You got that right. Theres s lotta hate round these parts.
Sounds about right. Is a habitual hater kinda like a grumpy husband or wife who complains about everything but is still there committed to the marriage ?
Yup, this FO has had its fans sleeping on the wet spot for a quarter century now…….but we still remain fans in spite of itever hear the saying the flogging will continue until the morale improves? Thats how I feel as a fan...beat down.
exactly.Yup, this FO has had its fans sleeping on the wet spot for a quarter century now…….but we still remain fans in spite of it
That "hold the team accountable", how do you propose doing that? Have you seen any indication that the fans will hold management accountable?why? Why not Dallas? I think all the great sports franchises should hoist high expectations onto the team. If we can't handle that then we need a new team and ownership. Its like Stockholm syndrome around here for 27 years. Its sad. Have many forgotten why the team trains, lifts weights ? If high level winning isn't the end game, what are we then doing?Lets raise expectations as fans and hold the team accountable. Its ok, really.
entitlement? U sure its that or the fact greatness must be earned and cultivated? Thats all I am saying. That being said, its not asking much to want answers, so that we can win Big again. Thats called accountability in action. We the fans are complicit otherwise, if we are silent like sheep. The team talks the talk every year, the last 27 years and have failed 2 walk that walk. I'm simply calling this fact out. I wont be silent. That "hold the team accountable", how do you propose doing that? Have you seen any indication that the fans will hold management accountable?
And while many entitled fans here lament about the last two seasons, many think back-to-back 12 win seasons and the playoffs is not bad at all.
We have a tendency to place the unrest of this forum on the entire fandom and that is just not the case. Do you know what most of the fandom would think about the time grown adult people spend here doing what we do and getting timeouts because we can't keep from acting like children and arguing over a 40M a year QB.
The most telling truth is that while this 27 years of futility and frustration for some fans has been going on, this team has led the sports world in profits, coverage and value. How in the hell do the fans hold management accountable? It suspends logical thinking.
I've been accused of lowering my expectations and have laughed every time. I look at what I've seen and what I see, look at the talent but most of all look at the culture and project what I think the team will do, not what I want it to do.
Rayman, the problem with lofty expectations is that they're born out of entitlement.
