Imagine now had these fools not extended Dak

I said over and over during the offseason that the Cowboys would rue the day they resigned any of the Dak/Lamb/Parsons trio. No team in the league can afford paying 3 players top league money without depleting their depth.

What do you believe is THE most important position in NFL football? Also, in the history of the NFL draft, how many teams that took a QB with an early first-round pick DIDN’T ‘have more holes than a fishing net’ - like they typically even have such a high pick to use due to the overall STRENGTH of their roster?

The NFL draft is a crapshoot based on half a century of personal observations. And over that same time frame, I have also observed that teams miss 100% of the shots that they DON’T TAKE.

If you are convinced that Dak Prescott is the QB to lead the Dallas Cowboys to the ‘promised land’ - then THAT is where we must part ways.

I am now thoroughly convinced that Prescott will only serve as a hindrance to any such championship aspirations JUST through his play. And the existing contract of this player will disserve the Dallas Cowboys future fortunes with an incalculable butterfly effect.

I’m so very sick of the Jones family and the stain that their decision-making and vanity has brought upon this once-proud franchise that I can only hope they lose out the string in hopes that a higher draft position will expedite their return to something that approaches NFL football.

But good luck with your theory that they only need to get a good team around Prescott - like he’s never had THAT before.
It’s a waste of time arguing this because Dak has been extended for a lot of guaranteed money. QB hasn’t been the Cowboys problem. No QB would have success with this team. Until we’re able to run the ball consistently and stop the run consistently, the Cowboys will continue to struggle regardless the QB. We’re getting destroyed in the trenches. Dak isn’t the problem and you think he is so we need to end this discussion. We’re just wasting our time.

He’s had some good teams but they never show up in the playoffs, especially the defense. It was the same problem when Romo was here.

Please revist the 2022 and 2023 playoff exits against the 49ers where the defense gave up twenty-three and NINETEEN points respectively and the team fielded about a dozen Pro Bowlers. That’s Dak Prescott looking all doe-eyed and repeatedly throwing off the back foot.

While I hate losing, as I love my favorite sports team to be on the winning side and love football. What would be the boards feelings at this point knowing we would have all these high draft picks and possibly a new franchise QB?

Would your outlook on the future be the same? Would you be enjoying this season more?

Talk amongst yourselves…
Our outlook should be the same as long as Jerry is running this team.

We didn't reach an NFC Championship Game when Aikman was still our QB (after Jimmy left and what he built collapsed following one more Super Bowl success off it).

We didn't reach one with Gailey, Campo, Phillips, Garrett or even Parcells as coach. And McCarthy will be the next out the door with limited playoff success.

We didn't reach one whether Jerry was throwing money around in free agency or playing tight wad.

We should never expect to reach another one as long as Jerry is GM and possibly longer if Stephen takes over and continues the idiocy.

The second loss to SF in the playoffs was on Dak but in the first loss to SF the defense gave up almost 170 yards rushing. No Cowboys team has ever won in postseason giving up that many rushing yards. SF controlled the ball and bullied us in the trenches. The defense cost us the playoff game to Green Bay in 2016 and in 2018 against the Rams. Despite Dak’s struggles the defense got destroyed last January. He did rebound with over 400 yards and 3 TDs but it was too little too late. No QB will win the way our defense gets manhandled in the playoffs. Our defense has been the biggest issue in the playoffs.

I nearly rolled my eyes right out of their sockets reading this drivel. Oh, JUST IMAGINE all the bad things that might befall the Cowboys if they hadn’t signed Dak Prescott - a middling AND aging QB to the most lucrative nontract in NFL history?

I swear, I just want to puke. Only there’s nothing left in my gullet.
Ignore his posts. Time always proves guys like him wrong.

Lamb and Parsons are worth what they want.

They are legitimately that good and deserve market value.

Dak getting market value is a joke and just screwed our team up for years to come.

These idiots brought Dak and McCarthy back after the Packer game last year. Extreme mismanagement.

Everyone thought Russell Wilson was washed and useless too.

Turns out if you put a good team around him, he can still it done.

Same goes for Dak. He didn't play well but he had a putrid supporting cast this year.

Been waiting 25 years for a franchise QB
I finally believed Jerry was on board and was having a great off season right up until he signed Dak. I thought we'd have a bad season, Dak would look horrible. Maybe trade Parsons to move to the top of the draft board.

I am totally dumbfounded as to what Jerry's doing, sadly I think he may be also.

You don't realize it, but you just proved why paying Wak was a terrible decision. We can get similar results from another washed up QB like Wilson or Geno Smith and wayyy cheaper too.

Unless all three play to a level that that elevate the team, it could be argued that Dak and CeeDee arent on the same book let alone the same page on occasions. If you're paying them then they need to produce as individuals and enhance the level of those around them.

What happens in Dallas is Jerry pays his 'stars' then everyone blames the (propensity) of JAG's for the failure. At least with Micah (love or hate him), his very presence elevates the whole Defense.

We'll get the 'Cap Denier's' but you're right, we're top payers of the top3 CAP allocated players, but just done get the WINS ABOVE REPLACEMENT for that money.

Yep, Wilson's performance dramatically improved when he started getting paid just 0.5% of CAP allocation, as opposed to the years to struggle when he had a 10% hit. WHICH IS THE EXACT ARGUEMENT, MANY HAVE, AGAINST PAYING DAK SUCH A HIGH % OF THE CAP as he just needs too much support/protection/time (so that he doesnt have the added pressure of the clock ticking down) to be effective.

Neither does Dak, but lets only blame the other 52 players on the active roster. You should say the team never shows up in the playoffs because they don't. Including the con artist faking an injury. It's funny how he comes up with a season ending booboo right after getting caught on camera saying what he really thinks about his team.

Actually, I see a completely difunctional organization that Dak has carried as best one man can. Football is a team sport more than most. He is not in his prime but not the problem.
This season would seem to indicate that it was the team carrying Dak and not vice versa. Once we lost a top assistant and a few key players Dak completely cratered. If what you were saying was true we would have gone from winning competitive games to losing competitive games. But instead we were getting the doors blown off on a regular basis. Not only that, the team was able to carry Rush the same as they did Dak and now clearly they can’t. More evidence it was the team carrying bad to mediocre QBs to success and not vice versa.

The timing of it hours before the Cleveland game? Like what?! Now we’re strapped to him and this is also with what is a 6-8 injury. He can’t even ride a bike for the next two months at minimum. The hamstring tore completely off the pelvic muscle!
At the last game Dak was "sitting" which is typically a difficult thing to do immediately after hamstring reattachment surgery. I'm just sayin

The problem is in the booth folks. Just like when Romo was here the Dak replacement will scratch an itch but in short term we’d be right back to where we are now because Jerry has 0 clue in team building he just wants to sell jerseys

I’m indifferent on Dak he could stay or go I don’t care I’m more annoyed at what this site has become because of it

There are more problems than just Dak although he regresses yearly and those Lower extremity injuries are adding up..

Dak is over paid, so is several others , our coaching sucks, our defense is below average against good teams and quite frankly outside of drafting lineman our draft picks leave a lot to be desired ( I’m unsure on Guyton tbh). Not to mention 0 run game

You cannot bargain bin shop and miss on the draft, outside is overshown and Beebe the last 2 drafts are blah in the early rounds

The 2016 draft that was once heralded I think was a mistake in early rounds . Dak for a 4th has been an inconsistent pick that has yielded both good and head scratching moments

Make no mistake until skelator has a face to face with our good lord it’s not getting better at least to the point of hoisting a Lombardi better.

Hahahahaha! These ignorant fools including Jerry deserve to go through these devastating losses. Dak is getting off the hook because he wasn't beating any of these teams. The locker room hates Dak!

Hahaha! He's having too much fun rubbing salt into the wound. By the way I hope your enjoying this season. There is absolutely no hope. Not even a glimmer until Trash Prescott is gone. The locker room hates him.
