Ya know, call me nuts but I have never been about the player, always the team. That's why I caught heat for suggesting they explore the trade value of Romo and Ware but I do not care about the player at all, it is the ultimate team sport to me.
Some think it's crazy thinking about trading the best player but what about the other side of that, what do they get in return?
Still all comes down to how married are they to Prescott and do they think he can deliver at 50M with an edge rusher at 30M? Then how about the WR, OL, CB and before you know it, 50% of the cap is wrapped up in 5 players.
To me, it still all starts with whether they're going to extend the QB, and it will take 50M, or are they better off trading their best player and trying a new stud QB. They could have a shot at Williams or Maye in this upcoming draft. May be a moot point because they may wrap Prescott up before this season kicks off and then they're pretty much down that road for 4-5 years.
