Am I supposed to believe that Romo has won 60 out of 104 football games and not even one of them counts as a "big game?"

Over the years I've learned that when Romo wins a "big game", then it's no longer considered a "big game", funny how that works.

Quarterbacks are ridiculously overpaid and it's no coincidence that most of these QBs won before they cashed in on big team-wrecking deals. For awhile, teams like us, the Ravens and the Packers had an advantage because we were getting high QB value with only modest payout compared to others (especially in Rodgers case) but now most teams have had to give that up. The Ravens actually had a chance to make a type of "Moneyball" move and be bullish about not paying Flacco just because he happened to be on the roster when they won a Super Bowl, but they just couldn't help themselves. Flacco has been about as league-average you can be, and the holes that sprung paying him all of his money are glaring.

Romo would be the first to tell you he has to show up in a win and you're in game or throughout the playoffs. Otherwise, all his stats etc. are for nil. If he doesn't produce at the MOST important time and have some success there, then he isn't a winner. He will always be known as a good QB that choked, that will be his legacy.

That's my point, does ANYBODY believe Romo can win 3-4 play-off games in a row, please explain to me how? I can't believe all his teammates trust he can. I don't even think Tony believes it.
Look at the Denver game, yeah, the defense sucked, but they never quit and ultimately allowed the offense to come back. How do you think the players felt when all of the sudden BOOM the game was over? Sure they'll say the right thing later, but after that pick, and the Commanders last year, and countless others, does the team really have 100% confidence in Romo? Does he exude confidence like Aikman or Staubach, Brady, Rogers, Montana, ect... almost willing the team to play above their level? Sorry, but he doesn't have "it"... so yes a QB can be worth more than stats, and effect the game in many ways.

Correct, he only loses in big games that count more. And only wins in games that dont matter. :D Certain posters have been "proving" that here in the Twilight Zone for years now, based on impeccable research.

On Mike & Mike Ray Lewis was asked about Tony Romo in the context of the "Romo is like Lebron" comment. He said "it takes a team to win a Super Bowl, no one man can do it by himself." He did refer to some of Tony's costly mistakes in the past but overall it was a complimentary tone. Im sensing that Tony is getting a lil more love in the media than usual.

Ray, that's a killer thought process. No one would convict you of halfing a bias against the Cowboys. You not liking romo or the cowboys would be an indictment against you and your show. I do detect the media giving Romo more love. I hope the Cowboys will show their killer instinct agin the Lions and murder their game plan. You slay me with your thoughts. Kind regards, a football fan who bleeds Silver, Blue and White..

I swear we have some of the most football ignorant fans in the NFL.

Do I believe TONY ROMO can? Yes. Do I believe this TEAM can? Hell no. Why do you think guys like Brady, Manning, Flacco, and Roethlisberger have won multiple playoff games posting a QB rating below 50, or even 3+ interceptions and still pulling out the W? Because their TEAM stepped up, something you'd never in your life time see with the Dallas Cowboys and Romo.

You mean the game where Romo had one of the best games ever by a QB? The game where Romo lead TWO TDs in the 4th quarter to give this mediocre team the lead. If you want to blame someone, blame the defense who didn't even force a SINGLE punt against Denver, not the guy who posted 500 yards and 5 TDs.

Does he exude confidence like Aikman or Staubach, Brady, Rogers, Montana, ect... almost willing the team to play above their level? Sorry, but he doesn't have "it"... so yes a QB can be worth more than stats, and effect the game in many ways.

Another reason I can't stand this sorry excuse of a fan base, "fans" here constantly make crap up about other QBs to take jabs at Romo, it's really pathetic.

Anyways, are you talking about the same Brady who has been down right terrible this year? Don't say it's his WRs fault that he's playing atrocious either, because according to you Brady can will his WRs to "play above their level". Well, if that's what you call willing his "team to play above their level", then you're damn right Romo "doesn't have it". He actually makes the players around him better. ;)

KJJ, is that you posting with Zordon's account?

Seriously, you are the one to bring E-Lie into the thread. E-Lie is the laughing stock of the league right now. Not clutch. Not cool and calm. Not the man. Not Easy E. Just a joke. Just a guy that has about 75% of his team's turnovers single handed. Just another guy on a bad team that hasnt the ability to carry anything or anybody but his own jock.

Romo needs to continue producing but he needs to produce a win in a 'big' game or he's going to regretfully carry this baggage around with him for the rest of his life. That's not fair but then life isn't fair. I'll always know he's a great QB but just sayin'.

And that next big game is always going to be the one leading up to a Super Bowl victory. Even if he gets to the Super Bowl and throws a costly interception, he'll still be viewed as the quarterback who can't get it done.

It's Super Bowl win or bust for Romo. Sad, but true.

So true. Those who continually harp on "only one playoff win" would just move on to "only two playoff wins" then "couldn't get past NFC conference", then "choked in the Superbowl" even if he personally was 20/25 330 yards 4TDs and 1 INT (from a tipped ball). Romo will be constantly bashed unless he can win the Superbowl, not just get to one, but win one.

Whats funny is since I have been on this forum, I see new posters like yourself come here and talk about how wonderful Romo is and how dumb people are if they are ever critical of Romo. And then over time, the Romo cheerleader fans all the sudden start slowly changing their tune. Some Romo lovers came over to the other side after the Washington game. They are on here all the time now being critical of Romo. Your time will more than likely come too.

Nothing wrong with being critical of a player, even Romo. If you're going to be critical of someone, then at least make sure you call it how it actually is, and not spin it to an agenda. It just amuses me the lengths "Cowboy" fans go just to take a shot at their QB. Like how that other poster claimed some QBs will their team "to play above their level", all of it is just made up non sense man.

You and I might agree on here one day with regards to Romo. Posters Catch17 and Revolution held your passionate point of view on Romo too... but they eventually changed their mind. You can only see the same old stuff so many times before you finally have to give in.

It'd be pretty boring if everyone held the same opinion. At the end of the day, we're lucky to have the guy has our QB. Could we do better? Yes. Could we do a lot worse? Yes.

Yeah, I agree... it's just I get tired of people saying you are ignorant because you aren't in love with Romo.. or you have no football knowledge.

Eh, you're going to run into people like that anywhere though. There are those who simply can't handle the fact that not everyone sees the world the same way they do. I just kind of laugh it off.

I understand not everyone sees the world the same, that's fine, but this is a completely different situation. If you're talking about how to live life, culture, religion, etc; then I'd agree. But in this situation it's not like that, there's a right/wrong.

It'd be like me calling Peyton Manning an overrated QB who's just all stats, then when someone questions my thought process, I give that scapegoat statement you just mentioned. People can't just make asinine assertions like that, and then say, well "not everyone sees the world the same way". I mean they could, but it's just a scapegoat answer.

No one here called anyone ignorant because they "aren't in love with Romo", so keep spewing this Romo agenda you have.

Check out your comment to this fans opinion below. He clearly isn't in love with Romo and you called him ignorant for his opinion.
