Is this the lowest the fanbase has ever been?

We have not won anything important since 1996. I don't care how many wins we have during the regular season and if we make it to the first round of the playoffs. It is a huge fail if we don't at least get to the NFC Championship. It's been too long of a drought.
Fact!
Why are we now just satisfied with winning records?
Big whoop!
Show me a NFCCG appearance!!!

We made the playoffs three years in a row, I think that’s pretty darn good. For a young team with an inept coach and owner. Imagine if we didn’t have all those injuries.
It's not. We now have the longest streak of consecutive years not having reached the NFC championship game and it's not even close. Playoffs mean nothing if you get bounced I'm the first game.

We constantly have a winning team on the field. capable of beating any team any day. But it’s championship or nothing and I get that. Eagles, they get there and they lose what good is it. I’d rather be us.
Actually being constantly in the middle is what keeps you there.

I've been a Cowboys fan since 1970. Got very busy in the later 1980s, and didn't fret terribly about the decline during that time. Those post-revival, 5-11 Campo years were frustrating. That said, the current situation has me feeling quite hopeless. I'll still follow, of course, but it's definitely not as fun as it used to be.

For me?

Even the campo years weren’t this bad

Idc if the team sucks….idc if Jerry sucks

Even in those years they tried their best but the talent wasn’t there…

All I require is your best idc if you go 3-14 aslong as you gave it 100% it’s competition sometimes you’re the one on the losing end

What I won’t accept is this half booty effort ….hiring Schottenheimer is a half butt effort, the offense wasn’t good last year play caller or not it’s a lazy hire

The free agency is half butt effort

I used to consider the '89 season as a super low point, but that was very temporary.
Jerry Jones just keeps making it worse.
We had no idea it would be temporary at the time. The team was 3-13 the previous season and got worse. That was the all-time low point for the Cowboys. The team only won 4 games in two seasons. That was far worse than going 7-10 this past season primarily due to a crazy amount of injuries. What makes this particular season so demoralizing for the fan base is seeing Washington and Philly reaching the Conference Title game. The 29 year drought of not reaching a title game and SB while the other teams in our division have has taken its toll on the fan base.

Been reading all the threads here and listening to constant ridicule on the media of Jethro and Team.

There doesn’t seem to be any optimism from anyone.

Even some of the diehard homers on this board have disappeared or changed their tune.

A lot of lifers here, do you consider this the lowest the fanbase has ever felt about the team?

I remember paper bags on head in Landry’s last year and Jimmy’s first year.

Fans were low after the Campo years until a rejuvenation shot of Parcells.

But is this the worst it’s ever been?
If it has been lower, then I canna recall, good lad.
But ... pose the question again at the end of the 2025 season and see the lowest go lower.

No, next season will be worse.

An owner getting more dug in and out of touch,

last to sign a new HC,

both of our NFC East competitors in a Game that we haven't seen in 30 years,

our non-elite Qb bearing the highest salary cap burden in the NFL,

20 unrestricted FAs to be dealt with,

Giants potentially getting the #1 or #2 Qb in the draft......

Our future never looked brighter

We didn’t need any help from free agency, nothing that they had was going to help us. We didn’t have an offensive line we had injuries. Our quarterback was hurt people wanted to tank. Why should we have use free agency
How about signing Henry, re-signing Tyron and putting Guyton at RT?

And along with most of the rest of the guys who got hurt, the QB wasn't doing much before injury.

We are certainly in the group with these teams as horribly run franchises:

jets, bengals, browns, jags, raiders, falcons, panthers, cardinals.

These are not franchises you want to be grouped with. Its depressing.

Yeah, but they’re going to choke it away again . I seriously not even rather go there, then lose when I get there.

I understand that, but I'd love to wake up the day of the conference championship and fire up the pit, and anticipate the big game and the potential to actually play for a superbowl. Losing would suck, but never getting the chance to even compete for it is lame.

Just went to a Las Vegas Raiders forum...

same lame avatars and usernames promoting the same lame crap...

anyway...they do have a 101 page thread about finding a new GM that was created 2 weeks ago. thats a lot of content if anyone cares about reading about GM hires in a fake world..

the world already knows it lost me as far as getting raged at the cowboys...nver really did anyway...

but now...the goal is a 3 hour time kill and to watch other players on other teams

what are you going to do now....take local media rights away and make me pay 50 dollars a game...awwwwww

ruin football for money....awwww...

self reflect and throw out anything your dad ever told you

Henry would not have done well here that was a waste if we did it. Rico Dowell is actually a very good running back. Tyron, are you serious?

And all of them but the Browns have been in a championship game since we were.
