well the FO said taco was drafted for RDE.
they created those expectations.
it is no surprise marinelli himself is calling taco out after the game because they probably all feel pressure for the pick to perform.
Very true. This old boy looks like he's got a ways to go, but if he has that inner gumption to be great... he could end up being good enough.

No doubt. I was puzzled when they said he was a RE then. That may have been Jerry guessing wrong.

Based on his measurables and the log jam at RE with guys possessing more suitable measurables, Taco struck me as a better fit for the Cowboys at LE. But I am by no means an expert. I do think I have a pretty firm grasp, though, on what they are looking for...and Taco clearly wasn't their first choice.

lets hope so and taco works out.

we did not spend in FA.
we blatantly cornered ourselves in the draft because FO dumped all the DBs - creating a crisis.
so we had to draft tons of DBs and could not throw more draft resources at the edge.
and we did not draft Watts who is more of a sure pressure player coming from a OLB/RDE type position.
and we did not move up to draft Takk or the guy on the 22nd pick.

if taco bombs, the FO bombed.
it would be like after the 2014 season and being overconfident with the running game.

going for my walk, get back to this later...

lol... Funny enough, I went for a walk with my dags also. The sunsets in El Paso are even prettier than Hawaii, imo.

I did some military training near El Paso. It does have its own raw beauty, but after awhile I started missing trees.
I live up in the Franklin Mountains (4400 ft above sea level where I am personally) ((I had to know that for my telescope... I like to watch the sky)). Tons of trees up here. I had a friend from Austin come visit me and he said my area was the Westlake side of town.
Not sure what that really meant...

I tooled thru las Vegas this spring and with all the construction and fresh concrete it looked just like hitting El Paso last time I tooled thru there,,,there's a 'wrong turn at Albuquerque' joke in there somewhere,,,but I'm not in the mood.

Yeah, this place is going through a real growth spurt. Especially on the West side, where I live. Now's the time to invest in real estate over here brother.

Guys every rookie is suppose to have 5 sacks every game.

People calm down. He is 2 weeks in training camp and 15 snaps in a preseason game. Man some are so quick to call bust or put down a player

I'm a little shocked people are coming down so hard on him.......I thought he looked like he was suppose to look...a late 1st round rookie....I'd be more disturbed if he was a top 4 pick.....but he wasn't.

Even Zeke (number 4 pick) didn't play all that well his first game. Mistakes will be made and I thought he did OK. We will see next week of her improves more.

It means you live in the rich part of town.

Unlike our 1st round pick, the tacos in El Paso don't need additional seasoning.

There's a huge transition from college to the NFL for every DE not named Miles Garrett. Give him some time guys, my goodness lol. If he still looks like this during the second half of the season, then start to worry. Not after the first preseason game lol. He's going up against two of the best OT's in the NFL every day in practice, he's only gunna get better.
