I get it but it's still the same in the end. Sure people can soften their analysis with making sure they say certain things....but even if they just come right out and say they think a certain player will suck and it will be the worst draft pick in our teams history, and you completely disagree then say so. But trying to discredit them by asking them for qualifications that no one here could or should have to possess is being rude. We are all just fans of the same team. It's not like we are Eagles fans.

I don't know man, lol. If you come across a certain way to People maybe you should expect a certain amount of questioning?

Yes, because Ed Reed had NINE interceptions in his last season at Miami, three times the number of interceptions Ramsey had in his entire career. Meanwhile, Ezekiel had 23 touchdowns in his final season. Twenty. Three. But hey! Screw production! We need an ATHLETE! LOL.

Lol. Comparing interception totals to a player who played for a different team all the way back in 2001 to determine somebodies worth in the current drat 15 years later. What a brilliant way to evaluate players. I will say one thing for draft time, you learn a lot about our forum members.

Ramsey is the most overrated player in this draft. If we draft him, it will only cement that statement..based on our history with drafting secondary players.

I understand. I just hate seeing this forum turn so hostile this last week.
It feels like Ramsey and Zeke have turned people into IPhone vs Android or Xbox vs Ps4 or Chevy vs ford people.

At the end of the day we should all be happy...we will be getting a player that every scout and pro analyst says will be great.

Jammer wasn't nearly the athlete nor had the versatility of Ramsey. What scouts really loved about Jammer was that he was super tough on jams and was a great tackler for a corner. But, he speed wasn't the best and he was relegated to playing on the outside. I can envision Ramsey playing any spot in the defensive backfield including the slot.

YR

If he is drafted, the good news is that Dallas will not have to wait long to see if he was worth it. This forum would be all in if Ramsey locked down Odell Beckham on the first game of the season. I think the kid has an amazing skillset.

I mean I hear ya, I'd just like to see your previous results & credentials on projecting NFL careers.

I'd imagine the comment that Zeke is the next Emmitt Smith tells you all you really need to know about his projecting of NFL careers.

I agree.

The debate part I like and understand. It's when people speak in absolutes that I think most get a little taken back.
And just in case you are wondering. IPhone, xbox & ps4, Chevy. :)

So we automatically write off Ramsey as a Quentij Jammer but we hype up Zeke as a Emmitt Smith who's one of the best running backs in the game. Two extremes.

The Zeke crowd really has pushed their view to the point Im sick of hearing about him
Zeke is the best RB in this draft. Zeke IS NOT the next Emmitt Smith and it's insulting to football fans to think a guy who has never been on a nfl field is the next all time greatest RB

Trent Richardson had 24 TDs his final season. Twenty. Four.

The only thing I will add is that I thought Ha Ha Clinton Dix would bust big time in the NFL. I would have bet a bundle on it. I was wrong. The kid is no world beater but he's a damned solid safety. I don't even try to rate DBs anymore because I'm wrong as often as I'm right. I do like Ramsey. I have to admit, I think I like William Jackson III better. Que sera sera.

Well IMO, both sides are becoming annoying lol. When you hear the Zeke crowd talk it just seems like it's coming from their fantasy football instincts. People are acting either pick is a bad pick. Both are two of the best players in the draft. Neither side needs to convince us which is the better pick. Ramsey fits more of a need now but if he's off the board I won't shed one tear if we settle for Zeke.

Your statement.

Ramsey is a freak and most people that know what the hell they are talking about would agree.

People debate whether or not Tunsil is top 2 but even if Tunsil is #2 you usually see Ramsey in front or behind him on any ranking.

Ramsey is a stud and will help us mightily for a decade in the secondary.

To justify Ramsey at no. 4, that dude has to be a game-changer - numerous decisive interceptions during the year, damaging hits that jar the ball out of the receivers/running back hands which causes fumbles or incompletions, crucial timely deflections on passing attempts, touchdown returns on either interceptions or special teams, many tackles behind the line of scrimmage, & a vocal in-your face team leader.

Not quite sure his past record at FSU demonstrates the above requirements.

But hey, he can sure run fast, jump high, perform well in the 3-cone drill, 20-yard shuttle, & boy, he physically 'resembles' Patrick Peterson/Deion Sanders -- so yea, it is no brainier he must be the pick at no. 4.

Not really. If Ramsey can take out one side of the field ala Sherman / Revis he'll be worth the pick even if he doesn't create a tun of turnovers.

Since we are being honest...I thought Tyrann Mathieu aka honey badger would be a huge bust. The guy is 5 foot 9.
I was high on Quintin Jammer (maybe because I like his name) coming out years ago.
And most embarrassingly I loved Trent Richardson coming out AND thought the colts were smart to trade for him.... So I don't know....haha...

Scouts weigh in on NFL draft's top player
By Bob McGinn of the Journal Sentinel

April 26, 2016 1

Green Bay – Just because quarterbacks Jared Goff and Carson Wentz are expected to go 1-2 in the draft Thursday night doesn't mean they're the two best players.

Cornerback Jalen Ramsey is the best player in the draft, and it isn't even close.

In a Journal Sentinel poll this month of 19 national-oriented personnel men, Ramsey dominated as the best player in the draft regardless of position.

Here were the vote totals:

Jalen Ramsey, CB, Florida State (7).

Laremy Tunsil, T, Mississippi (3 ½).

Myles Jack, LB, UCLA (2 ½).

Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State (2).

Jaylon Smith, LB, Notre Dame (2).

Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State (2).
