Why doesn’t winning generate revenue / increase valuations? And if it does, then why isn’t that his strategy?
Because playing more games is more money, equivalent to losing games and being in the media is the same money!!

Until Jerry and his family sell this team, nothing is going to change. If we think Stephen is going to be better when he takes over, we're in for a horrible surprise.

Is that an old clip. I mean Jerry has made this comment several times. Is this recent or from a few years ago.

Change the QBs and Change the rosters all you want. But as long as Jerry Jones feels like the Cowboys are always being talked about in the media, he'll never try to change his mentality of wanting to win his way and his way only. Stephen Jones is not much different. We keep on hoping that Jerry Jones will one day see the light, that he will do things differently with the next Cowboys QB or roster.

I'm all for moving on from Dak if that what it takes to get the Cowboys over the hump. But the question still remains is what QB coming out of college is going to be great enough to be able to overcome Jerry and Stephen Jones incompetence and help this Cowboys team win a Super Bowl with the current method in how the Joneses runs this team. Until then all we have is wishful thinking and hope that some day a playoff loss will be brutal enough for Jerry Jones to care more about winning Championships than he cares about making sure the media is still talking about the Cowboys even weeks after being eliminated from the playoffs.

Jerry most definitely gets it .. and a lot of the media gets it .. but a lot of Cowboys fans don't get it.

Jerry's priority is popularity because popularity generates revenue and increase valuations.

Jerry wants to win, but only as a byproduct, not as the priority.
I’ve said it for a long time. The “Dallas Cowboys”is a marketing company, with a football team whose only purpose is to enhance that marketing company.

That's because he's also the owner. GM is just a secondary job for him. It's been this way for decades now. Not sure why people find these comments surprising any longer.

This is why most companies out there, the owner is not involved in certain job titles and duties because they conflict with each other. Jerry being an owner and GM is a conflict of interest. We literally get draft tips and picks from his grandson lol. It's ridiculous and a circus at this point. Seeing All Or Nothing some years back with Dallas and seeing the Jones meet, the Dallas Cowboys are ran exactly like a family owned local grocery store. Zero difference. Really eye opening to see how they operate behind the scenes.

Don't ever let Jerry fool you into thinking he wants to win. He's on record saying if it was anyone aside from him being the GM, he would have been fired. This is a huge middle finger to the fans and his ego telling you he doesn't care.

This is why Jerry Jones intentionally times to release certain Cowboys news related right around the week the Conference Championship games or Super Bowl is being played. Making sure the media will be talking about the Cowboys in a major way. If we don't find out who is going to be the Cowboys DC for next season by the end of this week or if it's someone else other than Dan Quinn. Don't be surprised if Jerry Jones waits right up until the Super Bowl to announce who the new Cowboys DC will be to the media.

If he thought winning would increase his net worth tremendously then he’d do whatever it took.

I’m sure he’s literally had people do the research required for him to know just how much more money he could make if the Cowboys won compared to if they’re always talked about.

Always talked about won.
I’m willing to bet that winning would increase the attention more than losing…..he’s an idiot for not doing what it takes to win, even if he hired a control freak like Belicheck, cowboys would NOT lose attention, they would gain more. Jerry is a narcissistic clown, doesn’t give a damn about the fans or winning.
