Like.. This team knows that what Dak did in San Fran is exactly what he will do in the playoffs..

If we can get homefield then yeah that changes things but Dak’s not going into a hornet nest against a stout defense and winning us a game.

Henry can win you games and with our defense I just think it’s such an obvious move.

It really is, and every QB needs weapons. Derrick Henry is exactly what Dak needs to have a fighting chance against SFO, Philly, and Kansas City.

You were doing well until the overcoming Dak part. We need the running game to be strong enough to force teams like the 49ers to respect it. We rushed for 3 yards per carry in this past game, 3.5 in last year's playoff loss and 3.7 in the previous year's playoff loss. That's 77 yards, 57 yards and 76 yards. That's asking Dak to overcome the lack of a running game.

Exactly, its complimentary football. DH gives us that. He compliments Pollard because Pollard isn't being asked to be something he's not. Henry bludgeons the interior DLine and LBs. Pollard wears them out on the outside. Then, Dak can use PA or any number of other tools to get the ball to CeeDee Lamb more. Plus, the oline can block for a back that fits what they are used to blocking for with the backs we've had for a decade.

Jerry not giving Jimmy his credit is a personality flaw and a by product of a massive ego. He should give Jimmy his due, 100%. However that withstanding the cowboys of the past decade or so have been one of the best drafting teams period no matter how you slice it. It hasn’t netted us the championship game appearance or a Super Bowl title but it’s still true.

The cowboys are in the midst of potentially it’s 3rd double digit win season and 3rd playoff appearance that’s not easy to do in the modern nfl. Now, we all have higher expectations than just making the playoffs and Jerry is not without his criticism at all but he’s also not the buffoon that a large majority paint him to be.

The fact that there’s expectations on this team at all this year his because of the rosters that’s been put together
Then where or what is the problem? Unfortunately, there is most definitely something wrong with this team when it really counts. I'm not trying to be argumentative, but there is something wrong somewhere.

Does Jerry think he's a girl at a prom? This is ridiculous.

It's bs like this and how the organization is run that makes me want to stop watching football.
In a way, you nailed it. Jerry thinks that since its Dallas, WE are to be catered to. Its just his arrogance and ego. When all ya do is churn the practice squad, your not making tangible improvements. Your staying status quo . The caveat is, MAYBE JUST MAYBE they are doing this to get ready to make a big trade for a guy.

So we don't belong on the same field as SF and the Eagles, then why should we buy tickets or merch?
I mean, any given Sunday, but yeah, we really have 0 business thinking we can beat the Eagles or SF. We have shown we can beat bad teams or mediocre teams but struggle badly against elite teams. I think we are several players away if I am being honest. An UDFA in Bell has been much better than Kearse and Wilson. Hooker has been just a guy, We have 1 decent LB in Clarke. I like the signing of Evans at LB. I think he might be very good here. 0 way our dbs can cover elite receivers.

Its very plausible the Cowboys have already had conversations about players or expressed interest at different points to teams. If bottom feeders want to try to get value for players not in their longer term plans, they will call.

Keep in mind the Cowboys don't have a 5th or 6th round pick either which often is the trade compensation for a number of these trades. Cowboys haven't done well at the trade deadline pledging premium picks.

I agree with your assessment. Which then begs the question- Why is Jerry even talking at all? What is the purpose? How does it help this team for him to be talking in any capacity?
keeping us in the news, thats it. Be it negative or good. Never let a crisis go to waste. Thats Jerry 101. Create said crisis, talk about it like all is well, then ride in on a white horse like the savior to fix the problem u created. Its brilliant in business, but stinks to high heaven in sports because fans see it and aren't dumb. Jerry is miscalculating.

I am pretty sure a certain GM of a certain team leading our division wouldn't wait for people to call him to try to improve the club.

There is little doubt Jerry is not being proactive here.
Exactly ! Its semantics at this point of who calls who. Get a damn deal done. Improve your team. They've had 2 weeks to get something done and at this point, even if they make a trade, the new player won't be available for the Rams. Bad decision all the way around.

Jerry doesn't care about winning. So this shouldn't surprise anyone.

He even admits his team isn't on the same level as Philthy or SF yet still won't lift a finger to improve the roster. F this dude....
Your best post ever, my man.

Because doing that would be admitting that he was wrong.

And he never thinks he is wrong.
we have a winner. Thats it exactly. In Jerrys brain, whats left of it, he thinks his pride comes first, not the team. Hell will freeze over first before he admits anything and calls teams.

Jerry has said we aren't elite. Yet he does zilch. I really dislike him more and more every year.

If someone does my job for me, sure.

He's a disgrace. Him and his fat son.
Been saying this for weeks. These billionaires are way too lazy to grind for anything. They work 9-5 and not a minute more. 5 o'clock the booze starts flowing and they couldn't give a **** about football. Improve my football team? Call my secretary on Monday.

I think you are giving them way to much credit by claiming they "work".

Don't forget, Jerry said himself that he will not watch film.

No the joke is that fans here, a majority of which who have either never played the game or never played it past a high school level - feel like they know more about football than people who’ve played the game at high levels because they watch the game from their couch on Sunday and see everything under a win/loss lense when the game of football and especially roster building isn’t that black and white.

You are correct that just playing the game doesn’t mean it correlates to being a great executive but it absolutely gives that person nuances and insight that most don’t have which puts them in a position to even be named an executive for a team in the first place. The fact Millen even had a chance to fail shows what just playing the game at a high level does to how one is perceived amongst their peers- seeing as his only qualification to become a gm was just what you said….a former player. While he failed he still unequivocally would know more about concepts and team management than most.

And what’s even more contradictory is people yelling at Jerry because they interpret his quote on a radio show as him not willing to make a trade to get us over the “hump” but not even acknowledging that the reason we are close / on the hump of being great /elite is because of the position he and the staff like mcclay that he hired have put us in
Howie Roseman never played or coached football at any level in his entire life. Playing football does not provide the expertise required to manage a contemporary NFL organization. If you’re suggesting Jerry Jones is a capable General Manager of an NFL franchise than you have to be saying the Dallas Cowboys’ post season difficulties for the past 20+ seasons are entirely the result of his efforts.
