That is part of the NFL way since inception (or any other business). You always start off earning peanuts until within time you prove yourself. Don't like it, go create your own business and see how it works out.
Nobody plays on the last year of their deal. Nobody allows their franchise quarterback to play on their last deal so wheee see you getting this from? Cowboys are doing what no one else does. Let that sink in.

If that is what it takes to send the message of no more top pay, even if it hurts the team and forces them to rebuild, oh well...do it because this team didn't do anything in the playoffs with these overpaid players.
Salary has nothing to do with play on the field. Micah and Bland are on rookie deals….the issue is the main writing the checks….

Jerry is putting his foot down. No more overpays. Return the favor, Dak! What's so hard to understand?

It doesn't matter. Jerry is putting his foot down about overpaying or paying top overall pay from now on. Good for him. Players don't like it? Go play somewhere else.
But this is what you fail to understand…..he’s going to give them top money lol….he’s going to give Lamb big money and he’s going to be the highest paid receiver in the league. He’s going to make Micah the highest paid player in the league…..that’s why this is moronic. He’s not getting in front of these deals he’s waiting until the last minute. That’s why this is dumb.

Time will tell if Jerry has learned his failed lessons or not.

Stephen said EXACTLY what I said several days ago... those agents of those players are all talking. They are wanting an amount that the team might not be willing to sign, and this is why you have this stalemate.

It is hilarious to me that those that criticized these guys to "Caving," to Zeke and just handing over a contract are now criticizing them for being patient and letting this play out some. Why is it the Cowboys are always expected to set the market?

Once again Jerry is so open and honest and he tells you I WANT TO SEE A FEW MORE CARDS. He said I AM HOLDING IT UP... meaning he simply isnt willing to give in to the demands of the players. No question it would take 30 million right now, MINIMUM to get Cee Dee to put pen on paper... why should Jerry agree to that?

IMO, though we havent heard any numbers, it would take a MINIMUM of 60 million per season to sign Dak right now. WHY would Jerry want to do that?

Parsons????? Im not even gonna take a shot at that. Ive ZERO isue with what they are doing.

The criticism of Zeke wasn't that he waited as much as it was why are they paying a TB all that money in a league where most other successful teams are not investing nearly that amount of cash in the position.

LOL.

They are only costing themselves money and cap space waiting on some of these guys. Lamb being one, for sure. He's an elite, Top 10 WR in this league. Making him "prove" it is so idiotic that is makes perfect sense the Cowboys would do this.

If you were a fan of re-signing Dak a few years ago, then that was an example of also waiting too long. Cost them money and cap space.

If not for the fact they draft at an above average level, this franchise would basically be the Browns.
Maybe you didnt watch the clip. or maybe you arent understanding. Stephen tells you.. hey, these agents (CeeDee and Jefferson have the same one) are all talking. Why wouldnt CeeDee get paid top dollar... you make it like they are going to be stupid for paying him top money... yea, they know and we know hes gonna get paid. But just because we know it doesnt mean they should just cave to whatever CeeDee's agent is telling them he wants.

I agree.

But will he cave?
wth does "Cave," mean. They are gonna get paid, its a matter of how much. So when they do get paid, like the top players they are... here you will come saying they caved as always...... smh

What an arrogant narcissistic babbling fool.
Please tell me exactly what he said that was so arrogant. That he has a handle on the cap and where it is going more than most? Is that arrogant or factual?
That people on the outside (he didnt say this exactly) but people on the outside that have never been involved in these kind of deals dont know as much about doing these deals as they do??? again, thats factual.

I listened. I also know Jerry and his son are largely full of crap.

Where did I say it would be stupid to pay Lamb top dollar, for example? My point is that the longer it takes to sign some of these guys the more money it is going to cost them. There doesn't seem to be any sense of urgency to sign a guy like Lamb, for example, right now. But there should be. Philly did it with D Smith. Roseman saw that Jefferson and Lamb were on the horizon so he worked his butt off to get Smith signed to an extension before the other two signed.

Because he knew it would cost him more money once Jefferson and Lamb signed.

All three will be resigned for more than they could have been this offseason. Brilliant move…..
LISTEN TO WHAT THEY SAY.

You dont have a clue what the players will accept... not a clue. Stephen is telling you EXACTLY what is happening if youd listen. Why did he bring up Jefferson's name? Because they are all wanting to do deals in the same number/ball park. Why isnt Jefferson's deal done? Vikes are in exact same boat Dallas is.... so why hasnt Jefferson signed? I mean, its obviously going to cost them more the longer they wait, right?

You are being gaslit by the Jones and don't seem to care.
