I disagreed with the spike at the time and I still do, but Jerry needs to shut his mouth and support his head coach in public.
Then we don't have the right head coach.I mean, some teams have specific people assigned to analyze specific things like determining whether to challenge or go for two points.
I would think there would be some value in having someone work with the research team on mathematical analysis of clock management/game situations, and be charged with performing that analysis in game.
Ultimately it will always be the head coach's call on those sorts of things, but it seems within reason to have someone specifically charged with analysis that isn't the head coach given he is thinking through so many things throughout the game.
If they had a kicker doing it, they were doing it wrong then too.Didn't Chris Boniol help out with that during JG's first few years?
He needs to pay the price and get Head.coach.exe and be done with itThis is Jerry's passive aggressive way of telling JG he needs more training.
It means nothing.I think most of us agree the spike was moronic, but I'm not sure how I feel about the owner calling out the HC on it publicly.
It was an awful decision and that was clear as day right when it happened. No hindsight needed.

Just another hindsight naysayer. Better one would be "we needed a TD instead of FG?" or "Should have gave the ball to Zek on 3 and 2 on our first drive"....
Why? For once Jerry's right. If he agrees with Garrett nobody would believe him.

The tragic part is Garrett takes it and it is called "dealing with Jerry".
What for? How about just get competent coaches who understand the entirety of the game?
That would be pretty amazing.
A first time ever hire of a time management coach?
